  2. Have I missed something? I thought he had taken responsibility for his actions, owned up, been warned and fined and now apologised!! OK he still has to prove he can behave himself consistently and that is what we'll all be watching for. For all those that still want to vent their wrath at him, you and all the extra fans can always boo him or shout obscenities at him when he visits your track - you know, just like mature adults are expected to behave!! NB. That'll be anyone over 16? 18? 19? 20????
  3. Better news for Speedway!! You never know there might be some sensible (cost-saving) rules about silencers etc etc ???!!!
  4. C'mon chaps - everyone's heard of 'post twit notes'!!
  5. He admitted to having a puff on a spliff for god's sake. No possession, dealing or anything else drug-related. No explosives in his boots and he won't be hijacking the plane - so I guess he'll get in alright! when not riding a speedway bike on a speedway track!! Ask Woffy what he thinks!!!
  6. Sorry Tsunami, an extra dot crept in there. www.poolepirates.co/
  7. Statement from Matt Ford on Pirates website www.poolepirates.co/
  8. Great career Havvy. Rumours now that he's turned down the Bees management offer in favour of becoming personal manager/mentor to Darcy Ward at Poole, as there's more money in it for him!!
  9. Having been criticised for attempting to clarify the Aussie court ruling as 'defending DW' , may I say that I do not condone his actions one bit. He has to grow up and take heed of all the good advice that he's had and will continue to get. However if we are to chastise and ban every speedway rider that takes a 'puff on a joint' (which is all he's admitted) in his own time, then there would probably not be enough riders around to form a speedway league anywhere!! Drug and alcohol testing before and after meetings have been carried out in recent seasons and I'm sure will continue. I don't recall anyone testing positive.
  10. I wonder how many teams would be missing riders in that case???? A sp(l)iffing idea no less!!
  11. The $5500 fine was for 'fleeing from the Police' - a minimum fine introduced in 2012. The 2-year disqualification was for offences related to not having a licence. Although admitting the offences the 'conviction' is not recorded on his 'file'! The parkland is at the back of his parent's house and the alleyway down the side of the property! A stupid thing to do nonetheless! Incidentally, it would be interesting to know what the punishment would have been if he'd just stopped and stayed with the Police? Just a disqualification presumably?!
  12. As every other Promoter does to their own advantage! ...but he hasn't been convicted!!! He's been fined for a number of 'minor' offences which he owned up to. Maybe - just maybe - Middlo was commenting in the Echo on what he knew really happened on 29.12.12 (rather than the Echo repeating an Aussie paper story) - a few lads messing about with a 50cc pit bike at 0430 hours on a bit of parkland at the back of his parents house!!
  13. Antonio did not stay with Middlo, (although he might if he comes over now!! ) he was put up at one of his sponsors. Incidentally, many riders have stayed at Middlo's place - not just Poole riders either!
  14. Great news. Another club for the Southern Division of the future (non-televised) British League!!
  15. .....awaiting outraged protest from the new Aussie Champion!!!!!!!
  16. If you are referring to my post #173, by reading it properly you will see the communication is with IMG, not Sky!!
