But he wasn't riding under the influence, because he didn't ride and he didn't put any other rider at risk, because the test was carried out beforehand!! Alcohol is not an illegal substance!! Not trying to defend Ward (see my signature) just to suggest that the punishment is appropriate based on facts rather than opinion!!

Didn't say it makes anything better - its simply a different offence which would/should get a different punishment.

Maybe Dudek's punishment wouldn't have been so much if he hadn't ridden whilst 'under the influence'?!

With fewer EL teams next year and therefore fewer fixtures plus no NZ GP in March - perhaps the BSPA will finally arrange the play-offs in late August/Early September when theres at least a reasonable chance for decent weather.

MJJ is the classic example of a rider who thinks and acts as though he is the best - but rarely delivers it in even the most mundane of meetings. PK is an exciting and entertaining rider who usually performs at the highest level!

Did I say that?? No. I said that some would argue it! I've said from the word go that he should receive an appropriate punishment, assuming all the testing was carried out correctly. I happen to think that if found guilty he should be fined and have at least a 12 month ban from the GPs, as that was where the offence was committed - but not from any league racing, in Poland, Sweden or UK!! I know many will disagree, but that's my view!!

Tai had to commit to UK speedway this season as British World Champion!! As that will no longer be the case in 2015, plus the fact that the sport at EL level doesn't seem to want to go to Mondays only, I don't expect Tai to compete in the EL next year.
