Elite League Confirmed Signings 2015
SteveLyric2 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looks ok to me! -
How many more ex-Poole riders or relatives will end up team managing EL teams? Its clearly an MF plan for world domination doubtless to be confirmed at next year's AGM!! Those bricks were certainly a great investment.
-
Well it would certainly put paid to any rain-offs, Starry!!!
-
Holder won't ride for a Monday track - unless that all that's left for him!! and even then I would doubt it now that he's is sorted in Poland and Sweden.
-
Why can't PL riders double-up???
-
Well-researched and well pointed out Wendy - but I wonder if SCB will admit he was wrong?!
-
Nowhere in the official release does it mention ranking the riders. Once clubs have protected their rider, the rest of the selection will be done on league position. For example, if Poole choose to select Newman then they will pick last in Group B. I don't know why some are trying to make it more complicated than it is?! The only 2 things we are waiting for are 1) the final list of riders; and 2) which of them are in Group A.
-
I've heard a rumour of at least two 'protected' riders who would not agree to being on the list unless they could definitely ride for their own track!!
-
Lets just wait and see whose on the final list - as per the BSPA tweet earlier today. British Speedway @SpeedwayGB ยท 3 hrs 3 hours ago A finalised list will be published prior to the draft once all riders have confirmed their availability for the 2015 system.
-
It would be up to the Speedway Control Bureau to confirm the announcement - not the BSPA!! But SCB(the poster) was almost correct. Not everyone knew about it, but quite a few did!!
-
So the list of FTD riders is not yet confirmed as some have clearly not yet responded!!!! British Speedway @SpeedwayGB ยท 3h 3 hours ago A finalised list will be published prior to the draft once all riders have confirmed their availability for the 2015 system.
-
Oh come on Starry, we'll have the BSPA listening to fans next!!!!

More On The Decline Of British Speedway
SteveLyric2 replied to keepturningleft's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
No there isn't (I should have put a wink at the end of the post!) - however there wasn't an England Women's Football international at Wembley a few years ago either!!! I am sure there would be loads of women keen to experience 500 ccs of throbbing power between their thighs and with no brakes!! Looking at some of the German team yesterday, they would be ready-made!!! -
At least you are 2000% sure of getting your wish!!
-
Poole Co-Promoter Gordon Pairman elected to the SCB in place of BSPA Vice Chair, Chris Van Stratten!

More On The Decline Of British Speedway

1. Football - no matter who is playing it - is still the 'national' sport. 2. Its played in a decent stadium. ps.Maybe we should go for Women's Speedway?? -
Oh yes the Coventry track has to be one of Holder's favourites!!!
-
I saw that 'summary' which was initially incorrect and has subsequently been updated. I also heard the Vatcher interview on Speedway Tavern. Any names mentioned by Vatcher in either Pool A or Pool B were subject to riders accepting the invitation to join the Fast track draft for 2015 - the deadline for which is this weekend. He also stated that there may be further 'tweeks' to the draft before Wednesday. So people are getting a little ahead of themselves at the moment - unless Vatcher has announced the list today and I've missed it!!
-
So if by mid season you've got 3x 7+ riders, would you be able to replace one or two with other 7+ riders - as long as their averages were lower? Or would you have to replace one with a below 7 pointer?
-
You don't.....yet!! Not until Neil Vatcher announces the confirmed lists sometime after the deadline for acceptances of this weekend! Everything else is pure supposition!
-
Steady on Steve0 - you're not exactly coming from a position of strength with that first part of your statement!! lol

New Conversion Rate For Riders....
SteveLyric2 replied to Panthers89's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The restriction on EL riders on 6+ averages 'doubling down' is because the PL promoters were worried about affording their wages - it states as much in the SS summary this week. Similarly the EL restriction on only 2 riders above 7 points is because some (not all) promotions cannot afford more. -
Is it only Wolves assets that KL are rumoured to be talking to???
-
Jon Cook did the tweets last year didn't he (as it was his idea!!) - but doubt he'll even be there this year!! I would hope that BSPA/Neil Vatcher issue a complete statement with all 8 pairings and the list of EL guests.
-
This the wording of the relevant rule in the 2014 regs:- 18.6.4 If a Rider has only an EL Established MA from the previous season, then a conversion is necessary; the EL MA is divided by 0.6, subject to the maximum converted MA being 12.00 As already stated we don't yet have the 2015 version to compare
