  2. Practice is on the day from 12 noon. Gates open to the public at 4pm (1600 hrs) with first race scheduled for 6.30pm (1830 hrs). Not sure what they will do about parking on a busy Bank Holiday Saturday as the main car park is usually full of shoppers??!!
  3. And to end it all, Belle Vue appoint Cook as Captain!!!
  4. Tungate got a 15 point max and a place in the final!!
  5. Interesting to see in the long run, who has the biggest balls (BSI or OneSport) with Eurosport??!!!
  6. But then Barker gets into all sorts of situations that he shouldn't do!!
  7. Surprised Steve0 didn't put Swindon down for 4!!!!
  8. Could be an away win then??!! Is Gollob riding? assuming his bad back isn't too bad!!!!!??
  9. Team GB have little team spirit because of too many 'issues' between the riders - whoever the manager selects!! Morris doesn't get the results that Brummies achieve through good team spirit, especially the british boys!! He gets it from great performances from an Aussie, German and Italian!! With weakened Aussie and Swedish teams, Middlo and Morris thought they had a decent chance to do well this year! We were never going to win it and imo we should have started the rebuilding process by tracking Woffy and the untried youngsters. (ps. Great to read that Woffy is starting his Speedway Academy next year for young Brits! - It was in yesterday's Sun so it must be true!!)
  10. Surely this 'campaign' should become the remit of the newly formed 'Speedway Parliamentary Group' announced by BSPA this week!!
  11. I put this on the other thread as it seems just as relevant - with or without Middlo/Morris!! "I don't see why the BSPA should have (or want) the responsibility of the National team - whatever its called??! For most of them it doesn't do anything for their day-to-day speedway businesses either in the short or long term under current rules!! Maybe the ACU or this new 'Parliamentary Speedway Group' should take it under their wing, with separate management, development, training, sponsorship and funding!!? "

  13. Who said it was going to be North.?? Woodward all the way! Well that might apply to the whole Aussie team - including Doyley!!!
  14. Aren't there some young Gunnestads coming through, along with others??
  15. The key mistake that Team GB made this time was to listen to the recommendations of Kennett's 'mentor' John Davis and EL Team Manager Rosco that Eddie would do a job at KL!!!! As for the team changes for the play-off, team spirit will be crucial (Woffy,Barker,Bridger?!) and I'm sure the Aussies will be delighted at the inclusion of Barker!! Team GB Manager Phil Morris (rather than Team Coach Middlo) will need all his 'skills' particularly against the Aussies, with an 'interest' in both camps!!
  16. So can probably afford cheaper programmes unlike those clubs that have to pay a commercial rent and whose only source of income is through the turnstiles, programmes, advertising and any sponsorship!
  17. There's nothing wrong with enthusiastic amateurs!! Sky started with loads of them - and in some peoples opinion have still got some!!! ps. nobody has asked yet, but what was wrong with Tatum in his interview on the track with Sophie?? I thought (seriously) that he was having a stroke the way he was slurring his words and 'burbling'!! Does he drink??
  18. Is Scunthorpe their own track or do they have to pay rent etc to a landlord?
