I'm sure that Darcy has been advised not to say anything specific about the case before the FIM hearing. Other than comments at Poole meetings/functions like 'its been the worst time of his life!' or similar, he has not been drawn on anything else, other than in private conversations with his sponsors, promoters and selected others. In fact other than on this forum, its hardly being 'discussed' anywhere else - including the FIM it would seem!! .

By all means compare F1 with the SGPs as they are both 'global', but I don't see any relevance in comparing any EL or PL team in the same way or even British Speedway as a whole!!! Club promoters should always be looking for locally based companies ideally with a product/service that is available nationally.

The only reason Lakeside got AJ back rather than Coventry - according to Mick Horton - is because its closer to Stanstead!!

He's going to concentrate on his boxing; get his Security licence and sort his personal life out!! If that gives him back the 'hunger' for speedway then we shall see him again!! You never know, he might also achieve his dream of racing for Poole!! (as per article in Speedway Star!)

(Emil was going to line up for Matt Ford in the original staging of the World Speedway League; and Rosco/Pratty have already worked with him at Brandon.)

That depends on your definition of 'harsh'?! I would say not giving him a hearing or reaching a decision for almost 5 months is fairly 'harsh'!! Just an opinion which is no more right or wrong than yours or Sydney's!!

Poole fans think no such thing!! Stop trying to stir up s**t Gavan! Holder has made his statement in both the SS and the local paper that if there is no place for him at Poole, he will reluctantly consider another club!! Swindon would be an obvious choice as its a 'midweek' track and is the next closest club to where he lives in UK.

Isn't that what they've tried in the GPs - giving riders their own numbers? Not sure its made any difference to be honest!

That's not what Sidney said at all!! He said he should be punished!!! Most Poole fans - even the most ardent ones - agree he should be punished (see my signature), based on the full facts of the 'crime'. Of course he can come back from a ban - its the ludicrous amount of time its taking the FIM to get their act together that is frustrating most Poole/Torun and Piraterna fans!!

Just for the record - re the Holder v Ward question - on the Poole forum , 63% of voters selected Darcy Ward as their preferred Number 1. And judging by the loud applause he got at the Awards night, Darcy is still very much a favourite amongst Poole fans.

Promoters can agree on anything they like - but it won't happen because they don't own their stadia and therefore cannot dictate to their landlords!!

I thought the standard suspension was up to 2 years, with discretion if it was his first FIM offence - which it was. Whatever the final punishment - it will be what it will be! But what is wrong, very wrong, is the delay in dealing with the case and stopping all his clubs from making any plans for 2015, when the offence occurred only at one GP!

If Matt/Middlo build the team using their heads rather than hearts then it has to be Holder and Magic (if he wants to do EL?) as the 2 over 7 riders. If Magic is in then there is every chance Shamek will also be in, leaving us exactly 11 points for the remaining 2 second strings. With Eddie Kennett being rumoured (on a converted PL average of 5.03 as his 2014 Birmingham average has been expunged!!), that will still leave 5.97 for the final rider?! How about Timo Lahti (5.45) as an outside bet? However if Magic chooses not to ride and to concentrate on the GPs then I don't think Shamek will feature either - leaving things open for Josh and/or Vaclav's return. Certainly from comments at the awards ceremony, there was a lot of comment about Vaclav returning in 2015!! How about - Holder; Josh G; Milik; Kennett; Piotr Pawlicki; Newman; Starke.??
