The job-share was only 'bandied about' to try to entice Woffy to stay in the EL. If he'd agreed then it would have been rolled out to all clubs. Once he said 'NO', it was withdrawn from other promotions - BUT could be revisited at the January BSPA meeting if some clubs are still struggling to put a decent side together.

Just using the official BSPA final averages!!
-
Aah!! It looked as though he was replying to my earlier post!!
-
Only quoting from Matt Ford's comments to the Poole faithful at Wednesday's quiz night!!
-
To be fair to Starman on this particular topic, Kyle Newman did make the statement that he would prefer tougher races in 2015 and wanted to test himself against the top guys in order to improve further. He didn't declare himself available for the draft until the day before (which was after the original deadline - same as Garrity!) - partly because he wanted MF's assurance that he would still be a Poole rider. As it turns out, next years' (2016) teams are likely to insist that at least one 2nd string position will be filled by a Brit from the 2015 Elite Reserves Draft, so that the likes of Newman, Garrity, Kerr and others will get their wish.

8.29 + 7.56 = 15.85 v 8.70 + 7.50 = 16.20?!! Hows that work then?
-
No you didn't!! Kings Lynn and Poole had higher top 2!!
-
Where does it say he'll be number 1??
-
Hardly!! Holder signed a Poole contract for 2014 without having a guaranteed team place!!!
-
Plus his comments in the SS about track improvements he would like to see, make it pretty certain!!
-
Aside from the Holder issue, where has the 'reduced reserve averages' come from? Did I miss that in the AGM statement?
-
Well Doyley is back in Oz so must have got the paperwork sorted before he left!! Once bitten, twice shy - so to speak!!
-
Dreadful comments from Swindon 'fans' about one of their own assets!!! A quality rider like Miedzinski would improve most if not all EL teams.
-
If you bothered to read earlier posts you would have seen that Holder is having some visa issues - with the new regs introduced by the border control authorities - so he can't sign for anyone at the moment. Also as MF stated last night - Darcy accepts that Poole may not wait until his FIM hearing on the 8th January - so watch this space as you obviously will be doing!! If you mean piratecast's fb, I think he was multi tasking at the time (trying to record MF's interview in full for the next edition of PirateCastLive on 11th December; tweeting and participating in the quiz) and slightly misheard. As I said MF stated the team would not be announced before Christmas - not that there wouldn't be any signings til January. Although there is a BSPA meeting scheduled for January which may have further implications on team-building.

I think it was a nightclub!!!!
-
May I just take this opportunity to wish Kyle Newman a good injury-free season in 2015 - as Plymouth have just signed Ryan Fisher!!!!!!!!!

Tai Woffinden Misses Next Years El

Agree 100%. Could I please have your permission to replicate your post to some on the Poole forum!!! -
Matt Ford has advised Rosco that Adrian Miedzinski wants to come over for a full season! (Mentioned this evening when interviewed at the Poole Fans quiz night!) Also that Holder has some visa issues!!!!!
-
That's not exactly what Matt said this evening. He said that the team wouldn't be announced by Christmas, which is what he usually tries to do! Darcy has been told - and accepts - that Matt may not wait til the FIM get their finger out!! Some of the other issues are:- Chris Holder has some visa/work permit issues apparently?! No place for Eddie Kennett. Magic still not decided whether he wants to do EL in 2015. Adrian Miedzinski wants to do a full EL season and Matt has advised Swindon as he's their asset!! There could still be further news on the shared number 1 situation when the BSPA meet again in January - if any teams (not Poole) are struggling to sign a number 1.
-
The fee was closer to £10k and was primarily to help Edinburgh through their temporary financial crisis at the time!!

Elite League Confirmed Signings 2015
SteveLyric2 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
...and Andersen back to Coventry -
If Pedersen was signing anything - for anybody - it was more likely the consent form for his shoulder op!!
-
Certainly shouldn't be up for debate on this Poole thread - not relevant at all!!!!!
-
Did Lindgren not contest the Swedish Final then?!

Tai Woffinden Misses Next Years El

I have no issue with Tai - particularly with his media and charity work - but he doesn't do himself any favours in the Brit v Aussie debate, by constantly referring to Oz as 'home'; often speaking in an Aussie drawl and mixing with his Aussie best mates most of the time!!
