  1. So no Brennan, Basso, Tarasenko, Vissing or Nowak in 2024. Big changes for most teams.
  2. Dan Thompson says in today's S.Star that he has his Championship place tied up for 2024! Whether that's for Poole, Plymouth or whoever.............?
  3. Kyle is due to have an op on his shoulder this winter subject to NHS schedules! Dan Thompson had a few laps of the Wimborne Road track a couple of weeks ago after the meeting.
  4. Josh would ride on his Polish Licence so would probably come in as a second string on an assessed 5.00!!
  5. TV money! Its not Brummies choice to go Premiership. They only have Mondays as their race day in 2024, so it has to be Premiership with the Phil Morris sweetener!
  6. What? Like last year when 42 points was agreed then changed to 40 (to stop the 'stronger' clubs!)
  7. I've heard both. 36 for the 1-6 plus a 2 pointer(R/S) and/or 38.
  8. So what do I know? Saturday it is then! Only the Rugby World Cup semi final clashing time-wise!?
  9. I can't see Saturday being an option with the difficulty of getting stadium staff - many of whom have other work on a Saturday, including at the Vitality?!
  10. Not sure that'll be the case in 2024 with the rumoured points limit. There should be plenty of riders around and only a certain number of team/squad places available in Poland!
  11. Jubilee Poole v Leicester confirmed for Wednesday 25th October as a one-off meeting at Wimborne Road. Leicester 1-7 based on a 40 point average as at start of 2023!
  12. I guess it'll be decided on whatever is seen as in the best interest of British Speedway?
  13. I think any effect on today's attendance is more likely to be 'freeze your proverbials off in the sunshine at speedway or sit in the comfort of your warm home watching the National Team in a World Cup'?
  14. Surely Phil Morris has only been appointed as 'Chief Executive of Premiership Speedway' rather than the whole sport.?! His main aims, certainly initially, were to improve the presentation (promotion?) by all Premiership clubs for Eurosport/Discovery TV. I'm sure there is a Monty Python quote somewhere - "he's not the Messiah.....................?" (I forget the rest!)
  15. Its England v Fiji in the Rugby World Cup, kick off 4pm and live on mainstream tv, ie ITV1
  16. Some people need to remember that Richard Lawson has been carrying a leg/ankle injury in recent weeks which he will not have treated til the close season!
  17. The BE Planning Consultant (was that Hooper?) is the same chap who Osborne has as Consultant for his Swindon Motorsports project?! Read into that what you will........
