Maybe someone had a word in his ear beforehand??😉
-
Presumably Bailey as I doubt he'll be in as a 2 pointer?!
-
I think there's every chance Kerr will be at Redcar?!
-
Buying Sheffield?
-
When something similar was attempted a few years ago, it fell down because all the Polish riders insisted on being paid the same rate when they raced abroad. Effectively the smaller clubs could not afford to compete!
-
Most riders of any worth are 'tapped up' prior to the season end. Its just that some teams' seasons are over a lot sooner than others!😇

Why is all this AGM stuff on POOLE 2026 thread?
-
What will 2026 UK speedway bring?

I thought that's what Ipswich have been doing!? -
So the next obvious questions to follow your 'younger audience' statement is "what would attract a younger audience to attend regularly"? And "what age is a 'younger audience'? I cannot imagine a younger audience being incentivised to attend if they are getting easy access to full meetings on mainstream TV, Streaming or You-Tube! There has to be abetter chance of them being attracted to watch a short, sharp 'highlights' package involving some sort of jeopardy and gladiatorial battles (and no I don't mean Plymouth).

Promoters (BSP Limited) meet regularly throughout the season both in person, face to face and via Zoom or Team platforms. Decisions and/or recommendations should be discussed and rubber-stamped at the AGM, as is the case with most company AGMs.

Or...."The future's bright, in the Blue and White..."😜 It sounds better when it rhymes.........😇
-
Championship set the 40 point limit for 3 years in 2024, based on the same number of teams in the league!.
-
Well he has quit Team Vaculik now that he's not in the SGPs.
-
12th November in Rugby I believe
-
Anyone would think that the Promoter of the bottom club has a greater say than the others at BSPL meetings?! OH hang on...................!?
-
Blowing his main engine in the pits during warm-up on Friday also didn't help his BSN performance!!
-
Yes sorry, I hadn't caught up with Issue 27 - not that too much has changed.
-
Rich stayed in the pits at the end because he felt he'd let the team down and didn't want to accept a medal that he felt he didn't deserve. Aside from that, so good to hear from Toby that nothing is broken, just a concussion. He intends to be at the end-of-season function, which was going to be announced on Friday but in the circumstances was decided not to. Poole fans, Watch this space........

Surely the team building points are the GSAs (issue 27), less 2.5% for any Brit rider?!
-
Well done and congrats to Gavin Parr and his Bears. It was nip and tuck upto heat 10 andToby's crash when on a 5-1, which knocked the stuffing out of the Pirates. There was some good racing, some great passes (nb. Glasgow fans) and both teams had some gating success (nb. Glasgow fans), but the Bears were just that bit better overall.

This brings back the question of Should speedway be promoted as a 'family sport'? It's been so for decades and look where that has got us! The crash and fight between Allen and Wright got more publicity from one single incident than a whole season of the 'family-friendly' approach.
