I gather the (first?) UKVI workshop is due to take place this Friday. So assuming something beneficial is achieved to the UKVI's satisfaction then Certificates of Sponsorship can begin to be re-issued to clubs and the visa application process can begin again. Hopefully there will be some sort of clarification statement from the BSPA/SCB after Friday's workshop.

Usually the team announcements have to be made in full by end of February so that BSPA can confirm them (or otherwise) by the start of the season.

Just noticed Sky have announced their 2015 coverage of the Ladies Netball 'Superleague'!! -
I assume you are still referring to the 2014 version?!

Oh yes I'd forgotten the new spirit of harmony between promotions!! I know theres been loads of shale delivered!!

As I understand it - ALL clubs have had their sponsorship licences (Certificate of Sponsorship) revoked until they have been through the UKVI workshop/course, whether they were at fault or not!!

They get decent crowds though!! -
Lets not forget Madsen and THJ as Poole assets . Unfortunately Poole don't have first call on Shamek!

Initially, its nothing to do with the rider's status, achievements or qualifications. No rider can (re)apply for a visa until his club has their sponsorship licence reinstated by UKVI. That will not happen until clubs have successfully attended the UKVI workshop(s). UKVI have stated that they will work with BSPA members to reach a satisfactory conclusion in a timely fashion. The chronological steps are therefore: Clubs attend workshop - clubs get licence reinstated - riders submit sponsored application forms for visa - UKVI issue visa - riders attempt to book flights in time for March 15th!

Bspa Meeting With Ukv&i?

They don't need a sponsor to ride abroad - and it has no bearing on a UK visa - however what DOES have a bearing is when a non-EU rider competes in more then one league in the UK - hence the issue of 'Aussies (non-EUs) doubling up, down or sideways'!! -
I think its pretty obvious that whilst Gordon Pairman's statement is from the Poole website, it also takes into account his position on the SCB and is therefore an overview of the EL position just as much as it is from Poole's perspective.

Good - maybe it'll warm up by then!! -
You'll discover that in the Elite Shield a week earlier!

Its not about the riders personally its about the visa process and 'sponsorship licences'!! All will be well!! ps. Bjarne finally confirmed for Leicester this evening.
-
Great choice as 2nd heat leader.
-
I think all non-EU riders are affected unless they have dual nationality or a valid claim to UK residency. All clubs have had their 'Sponsorship licences' revoked, so any visa applied for or granted on those licences are no longer valid!
-
Why? Has Fricke got a visa?

Whatever the final outcome of this episode, its going to cost clubs and fans more money. Any replacement EU/British rider required by a club will know he's got the club over a barrel and can name his price!!!!! -
BSPA statement is now on their website.
