  1. I'm sure there are plenty of Poole's assets that MF has given permission for other clubs to approach!
  2. I'm hearing that Plymouth have accepted there may be issues with Holder's visa and have put in a request for first call on the top 4 Tasmanian qualifiers. If acceptable, they will be renamed the Tazmanian Devils!! I'll get my coat.......... Not according to Colin Pratt from Friday's workshops!! New CoS's have been agreed and Swindon have re-submitted Batchelor's visa application straight away.
  3. Well he'll need to create a fair bit of attention now as he has to get a full set of decent bikes and equipment together, having got rid of all his previous kit!!
  4. Well it was worth a try, as others were saying it was only Darcy Ward that had tweeted anything!!
  5. The Bournemouth Echo today quoted the FIM as saying "...following yesterday's events in Switzerland, a final outcome is expected next week..........after the International Disciplinary Court hearing failed to produce a definitive verdict!" Read into that what you wish.
  6. 4.63 was his 2013 final EL average, but have no idea why they are using that rather than last season's converted PL average??! I though where a rider had an EL and PL average - albeit from different seasons -, it was the higher of the 2 that had to be used?!
  7. ...but his other leg is reportedly still doing good business!!
  8. Colin Pratt has reported a successful meeting of all promoters with UKVI during the morning and then a separate meeting involving the BSPA MC and UKVI in the afternoon. There is apparently a newly worded Certificate of Sponsorship (Licence) which has been agreed and Swindon are proceeding immeadiately with Batchelor's visa application.
  9. I don't believe Ward has any legal conviction against his name!! Hopefully before Tuesday so that Speedway Star can carry the story next week! Hopefully before Thursday as he has flights booked!!
  10. Any particular reason why Holder is missing from the Poole line-up? It can't be to do with visas as you've included the likes of Doyle, Batchelor in their respective teams?
  11. Guesting for 'us'?? You'll have us all believing you're a Poole fan next!!!
  12. This is Alex Harkess' final year as BSPA Chairman. He will step down at the earlier 2015 AGM. Hopefully (if the current eligibility rules stay in place) his place will be taken by an EL promoter?! Rumours of Jon Cook being enticed back after taking a year out of BSPA MC duties?!
  13. If Jack Holder gets his visa sorted, (and just to repeat - its not about the riders its about their clubs having their Certificate of Sponsorship licence reinstated) then he will sign for Plymouth on a 7 point average and will not be allowed to double-up anywhere else, no matter what his converted/assessed average might be!
  14. To all Middlo haters and those that are fans, do yourself a favour and give this forum a rest for an hour - listen to Middlo LIVE on www.piratecastlive.com from 8pm this evening. This weekly live speedway talkshow is totally UNNOFFICIAL and is presented by a couple of Poole fans. You can listen, join in by phone, twitter, Skype or chatroom. Go on - you know you want to! (ps keep it clean and respectful though - its a family show.)
  15. You must know that going by most of the reactions on here - its nothing to go by!!! Think you might be confused with Dak North on that one. His mother comes from Poole originally!
  16. Craig Cook gets a Gorzow try-out - to see if he's good enough! www.speedwaygp.com
  17. Yes - assuming his current visa has been revoked like the others?!
  18. I think Poole's 2015 team building is all about getting the club back on a sound financial footing after what must have been a very expensive 2014, with all the rider costs and losing your main team sponsor (and its final year payment??). Whether the likes of Davey Watt and Dakota North 'come cheap' as some have suggested, I would imagine they are a little cheaper than flying riders in from abroad every week! Going with Holder and Ward - if that is what is finally allowed - is a sure fire 'box-office winner' (not only for Poole but for other clubs too) so is highly likely to boost attendances. Business first - sentiment second.
  19. It didn't stop him watching the Chelsea v Liverpool match in the pub on Tuesday!! He's got a decent knee brace after all! (ps rumour was he was auditioning for Channel 4's 'The Jump'!)
  20. He won;t come cheap though and of course he needs to want to ride for us.
  21. Isn't he doing the ERC on 21st March (ooops sorry) a date yet to be announced??
  22. What you are missing is the mutual respect and friendship that Magic and Matt Ford (whatever you and others may think of him) have for each other. Magic has lodged at Matt's home and is like one of the family. By his (Magic's) own admission, he is not certain of his racing preferences during this first GP season and as such has already left Sweden off his itinerary for the moment. He is quite prepared to wait for Matt's/Darcy's decision and accordingly when the time comes will decide whether to rejoin Poole temporarily, permanently or not at all. He may also re-think Sweden when their transfer window opens again.
  23. ...and still is! Pray tell which country Ward was representing in the SGP?? There's probably a bit of a clue whenever he wins one and they play his national anthem!! NB. Stefan Danno's ban was imposed by Svemo even though the offence was committed at the European GP in Poland!
  24. Good. Sky meetings should be all done and dusted within 1.5 hours!!
