According to the SS, the FIM President (no less) who was at the stadium, is taking personal control of the investigation. They've told all concerned to expect a decision by the 'end of the month' - they just haven't decided which month!!!!!!!!

Well done to the Aces for a much better all-round team performance. Whatever the supposed issues with the track, teams will not win anything if their heat leaders don't reach double figures, however well the support riders are doing. Yet again the Pirates didn't gate - although a little better than against the Bees - and they didn't seem to have anything like the same speed as the Aces. All in all, lucky to get the point!! Anyway, on to Wolves on Monday - Davey Watt returns as a 2nd string and Lewis Rose guests for Starke!! PS. Good to catch up again with Lemo before the meeting - top lad!!

The gist of the article is basically how pleased they were with it - TV, Attendance, publicity etc. They have plans, supported by FIM, to have 4 rounds next year (That was the original plan!). The longer term aims are to invite the top 2 clubs from each league and also eventually to include teams from Germany. However the meetings/tournament need major sponsorship so that clubs and riders (and FIM presumably) 'can all earn money' from it. The rules of rider eligibility are constantly under review and discussion with all authorities. Eg the Polish Leagues have already proposed Polish riders only riding in a maximum of 2 leagues - Poland and ONE other!! The riders of all nationalities are understandably against this proposal - so this will need clarifying! Watch this space......
