Good articles in this week's SS Philip. The only thing I think maybe incorrect is that 'any appeal by Darcy must be lodged within 21 days of the FIM penalty statement', whereas the statement actually says 'within 21 days of the date of receipt of the full reasoned CDI decision'! - which is yet to be issued as far as I'm aware?! Please correct me if I'm reading it wrongly.
-
No. At least spell it right!!
-
There will be a transatlantic telephone call to the Echo/ Media/ BSPA et al at the appropriate time........!
-
Well, 95% of the BSF anyway!! I don't ski!! I prefer his villa in Spain!
-
Didn't the SS do exactly the same with Dudek, even though he doesn't race in the UK? What are they supposed to do - hide the story away and hope people don't see it?? That would doubtless create another 300+ pages of 'unfair journalism' BS!!
-
So a new foreign rider won't require transport, mechanics, workshop, help with machinery etc then?! Hardly stirring, just asking the question and using what we know about the Bridger situation, which is entirely what Bridger has stated himself admittedly with a very poor attitude. BUT something has clearly happened with 'things promised' to prompt such a response! Lots on here continually go on about facts and transparency - why don't Coventry management give their side?
-
If Leicester are to confirm their final rider on Saturday morning (as stated) then maybe expect Poole's announcement later today or tomorrow. Unless MF waits until there's less AFC Bournemouth news in the local Echo?! With AFC Bournemouth playing Friday night on Sky, then the local rag will have previews and reports/pics on Friday/Saturday, MF may wait til Monday.

Thank you for pointing out what I meant in my post!! In the future whenever the meaning of one of my posts needs explaining to me I guess you'll be right there.
-
Read my post again - I said IF they can't afford it?! No Coventry fan has offered any other explanation about the Bridger issue, other than to blame Bridger, so I was drawing a potential comparison in my earlier post - one which SCB and others partly agreed with! Incidentally I very rarely ask posters to 'back up their statements' - you must be confusing me with someone else?! ps. What do you reckon about Walasek as a Bee?
-
More likely Coventry - he was used to a lot of Friday racing with Lakeside!!
-
He was part of MF's 'Option 3'!!!
-
It wasn't tongue in cheek as I didn't include an emoticon. I was drawing a comparison with the Bridger situation if they can't afford to make a financial loan to a British rider, how would they afford a high scoring overseas rider (with the added flight costs etc) who I imagine would be seeking some sort of financial guarantees after his previous experiences!
-
I would think Zmarzlik would be looking for some pretty solid financial guarantees after what happened at Birmingham - so I guess it won't be him then?!
-
What has this got to do with 'Poole 2015'?
-
He posted a photo (in reverse) of himself in the Wroclaw pits in last years Poole kevlars with the caption 'And again'! Some are saying its simply back on a speedway bike again - others are saying its 'back at Poole'!!
-
We don't know - maybe, maybe not?! Depends on what comes out in the statements (FIM and Ward's) and whether there are still any questions to be asked/answered. I guess an indication of that will be whether Ward decides to appeal based on what the statement says.
-
But we don't know all the reasoning because the FIM have not yet published it!!! (As stated on the Poole thread - read the FIM statement again.) The punishment of 'only 10 months backdated' may be because there were some other factors? As I've said right from the outset I do not condone his stupidity - but everyone is entitled to a fair hearing, with all the circumstances being aired and published so that unbiased comment can be made. And Darcy has '21 days from the date of the full reasoned CDI decision' to appeal if required.
-
Quite correct Baz, as has been pointed out previously. That 6.66 is a devil of an average to fill!!!
-
I think this forum demonstrates that on a daily basis!! suggest you read the FIM's original statement again!!
-
Not forgetting that the FIM still have to make their follow-up statement giving the reasons as to how/why they reached their verdict!! That statement will have to be made within the 45 days from the hearing, ie. within the next 2 weeks,.
-
Not enough points left for Shamek!!
-
Darcy will have a temporary job of Assistant Team Manager and Non-riding Captain!! No issue with visa!
-
Good choice, but he can't be used for double points!!!
-
Ah 20 years time - that'll be when Tai has gone home to Oz I guess.
