  1. Agree with that summary PQ7. 2 very close meetings ahead which could both be away wins?!! Especially as all the KL riders should know where the holes are likely to be!! It'll be interesting to see Poole's riding order for these first couple of meetings?!
  2. Just reading the story again, it doesn't mention major SPEEDWAY events - just large events suited to TV!!!!!
  3. At least the Adver has done the decent thing and given due credit for the story to the Speedway Star!!! It will against Poole on a decent evening in September rather than end October!!
  4. All this is just a ruse to ensure Buster brings some of his shale with him next week!!
  5. Hope that's not the sign of things to come from Poland this season!!!!? Strung out processional races won by turn 2 on the first lap in virtually every race. Hope the fans that were watching were not charged to go in??!
  6. The 'money' thing was really about the cost of Poole hosting the event, with a limited stadium capacity and huge extra costs. The decision to withdraw - as it says in the article - was the decision not to be allowed to strengthen the team ie as a squad, in the same way as the Poles, Swedes and Danes. Lets hope KL do themselves proud with Protasiewiecz and don't end up just competing for 3rd/4th place and catching a financial cold!
  7. Lets hope that applies equally to Gomolski, North and Starke then!!
  8. Great news for Robins fans and the sport in general - although I have got a reference library of Clarke Osborne's previous statements..............!!!
  9. Just for those fans that are accusing others of 'going off at tangents' or similar, perhaps we should look back at what Chris Holder actually tweeted, "Good day at Poole press and practice! Even though the track was average.... hopefully sorted for next week" So, it was a GOOD day at Poole P&P, even though the track was 'average' (not dangerous, c**p or badly prepared), just 'average'!! AND 'hopefully sorted for next week' ! Don't panic Mr Mainwaring ..............
  10. I'm a bit surprised Maciej Janowski has agreed to ride as he's in Adrian Miedzinski's testimonial today - you know the meeting that is stopping Miedzinski from representing Swindon!!
  11. With some riders having 'arrangements' with certain suppliers, its often left to individuals to do the ordering to a specific design and to their own individual sizes. Often the rider will pay for the kevlars and depending on the terms of their club contract, will be refunded the cost (or not) in their pay packets once they start racing!!
  12. Part of the problem was the time of day for practice, with half the track (back straight) in full shade and the rest in hot bright sunshine, so it was at best a little inconsistent. But as he says 'hopefully sorted for next week'!! But if it isn't then I'm sure we'll all hear about from the KL promotion!!
  13. Thought Chris looked understandably a little tentative at times during P&P - but he's certainly putting in some laps. Torun Tuesday, Poole yesterday and back to Torun today/tomorrow before the ELRC, at which he 'hoped to just get around safely!' Maybe Magic at 1 for the first few weeks might be a better option?! Looks as though Poole will do the same as last year in switching Gomolski and North (2&4) between certain home and away meetings.
  14. Just to emphasise the point, at todays P&P, Poole's team kevlars clearly came from 2 different suppliers with variations in the darker and lighter blue/white. A clear case of there not being a 'blueprint'!!
  15. Originally the BSPA decision not to support was to 'protect' the EL Saturday tracks - especially as the Pairs dates were never announced until after the respective League fixtures. As it now primarily only affects Leicester - who will have Doyle representing the Aussies anyway - I can't now see what their issue is other than we haven't got a decent pair to compete with the other countries.
  16. Hope the FIM don't intervene as he's a Poole asset!!?
  17. Nice try but 25th was on the FIM calendar early days.
  18. Poole Press day tomorrow (Wednesday) and a decent day forecast weather-wise. Expect some comment from MF about the team and recent developments. Expect Darcy will be there too.
  19. Quite correct. Also, When Poole were considering hosting it, the date was Friday 24th April. Once FIM insisted it being on Saturday 25th, it ruled out Poole due to no track availability.
  20. Surely a camera can be fitted to the handle bars very easily - admittedly it might be pointing outwards when the bike is sliding?!
  21. I wonder what different riders will request of track prep with the new silencers/set-ups?
  22. Good luck to our 2015 British representatives Kings Lynn. I hope Buster doesn't bankrupt himself!! Who will NKI ride for?
