I believe the EDR guys in the EL are on a set £60 a point, plus whatever sponsorship they can generate. The suggestion of £200 - £250 per point for EL heat leaders is about right, BUT they often will demand and get extra in the form of big signing on fees, vans, accommodation, mechanics etc.

Just a thought on the length of time to lay a temporary track - if more time is required it means hiring the venue for more days!! They don't give the venue free!! So any extra hire cost will be passed onto the fans in even more expensive ticket prices!

Why are people saying there has been no apology? BSI have apologised to fans in their statement on www.speedwaygp.com and are 'understanding of the FIM Jury's decision to declare the meeting'. It seems clear that further investigations are taking place - but whether fans will ever get the full story, rather than whatever the different players decide to give the media - will remain to be seen.

Are you sure that's correct. The official scoreline shows a 6 ride /18 point max in a 52-38 win for the Poles!!
