  1. So Lakeside arrive with Milik for Nilsson; Howarth for Bech and Wilkinson for Birks. Should be a good meeting. I bet the viewing figures for Sky's Berwick v Peterboro meeting will be down!! Should be a great Poole welcome home for Magic and Noddy!
  2. Depends which track specialist Lakeside get in for Nilsson?? Milik?
  3. They didn't get as far as the track then?! Seriously I hope the police get the so-and-so's!
  4. Ryan Guest is 'credited' with the Ricky Wells interview podcast; and Dave Rowe with the Rosco interview.
  5. How has he screwed up? He couldn't apply for the visa, with his UK club's endorsement, until the ban was over, which is why he flew back to OZ last weekend. Hardly his fault if the visa office is inundated with visa applications is it?!
  6. Buster's on the BSPA MC too!!! You'd have thought he'd have had some influence! So the 'good but very different track' had nothing to do with Buster then - all down to Big Red Ron?
  7. I would be surprised if the BSPA MC allowed a team at the top of the league to strengthen further when there are a few under strength sides crying out for improved riders!!!? I mean, in the best interest of EL speedway lets be sensible here!!
  8. Its not a problem with any visa for Sweden. He is/was hoping to get his UK visa sorted for Friday and consequently booked a flight to the UK on Saturday. If that doesn't happen by Friday for some reason, his earliest flight back will not be until Monday which would not give him enough time to prepare effectively for Piraterna on Tuesday!!
  9. Nobody is saying he's injured! Still carrying an injury maybe, but he's quit or 'left by mutual consent'. Either way Swindon have a 28-day minimum facility to use a guest until DW has sorted his UK visa. They had to get AM to agree to ride at Leicester so that his 8.21 average would appear again in the 1-7!!
  10. I think the current EL format demonstrates that riders - especially heat leaders - need at least their equal-best equipment in the UK as they use in Poland/Sweden!!
  11. Enjoyed the meeting on Sky last night and just about a fair result for both teams considering the absent riders and - as riders from both teams commented - "a track very different to normal!!". So well done to Sky's/GSI's Ronnie Russell (Meeting Co-ordinator) for getting the track prep sorted!!!! (I am right, aren't I, that it is him rather than the home track staff that are responsible for Sky meetings?! ) Anyway good to watch young Lambert improving all the time and Maciej not being affected by the GP this weekend.
  12. So will Zengota and/or Howarth really show Rosco who not to drop or has one of them already been told?! I can only see a Swindon win of 52-38 ish.
  13. Agree Nilsson is a blow, but you have a wide choice of guests for next week's away meetings which I'm sure will produce a couple of track specialists!
  14. As I put on another thread, the play-offs will be Poole v Kings Lynn and Coventry v Belle Vue!! Havvy and Middlo have decided!!
  15. If Zengi is the one to go, then don't rule out Leicester as being his new home!!!! But more importantly who will come in? Swindon's team average for July is 34.47 which includes AM on 8.21. so they need to lose .47 to start with plus the difference between DW 8.70 (we think) and AM (8.21), before looking at a non-PL doubler for Zengi!!
  16. Extra paramedics called to the hottest-ever Norfolk Royal Show to deal with heat stroke victims and others. Hope there are enough for this evening at the Adrian Flux
  17. Who are these 'several PL teams'??? Name and shame I say!!
  18. In which case Swindon will have to find a non-doubleupper to replace him as they have the maximum of 2 in Morris and Howarth!!
  19. The meeting co-ordinator works for the SCB. The track co-ordinator works for Sky/GSI on televised meetings.
