After the debacle of the 'rain-off' due to riders missing flights in 2013, weren't the BV promotion told that as part of their punishment any future call offs (for at least 2 years?) had to be done by an SCB official?!

I think there is a 'longer term plan' as far as the EDRs go, but it surely has to be a bit 'provisional' depending on how the EDR riders perform each season. I guarantee that there will be some Grade A EDRs who will want to stay EDRs rather than be promoted into the 1-5 next year - just as there were at least a couple of EDRs that wanted to be 2nd strings this year but weren't allowed to by their promoters because the club ©wouldn't guarantee them a 1-5 place this year!!

EDRs don't count as double-uppers. The proposal - if it goes through - is to have at least one Brit from the EDR as a second string. Whether that affects how the EDR system works in the future we shall have to see.

Probably at least 3 from next season if BSPA stick to their proposal at the AGM!!!
