  1. Well done to Swindon - the best team on the night. Both teams had their falls and their engine issues, but Swindon came out on top. If it had been a first leg play-off then an 8-point deficit would be acceptable. If Kyle Newman had been able to sort out his speed in the first half of the meeting as he did in the 2nd half then maybe it would have been closer. But similarly with Hans. But as with any meeting its all ifs and buts.....! It will be interesting to see how Swindon perform away from home now. PS. As a Poole and Darcy fan I thought the Sky coverage was just so over the top!!!!!!!
  2. I wonder if at this year's AGM the BSPA will re-introduce the rule that a missing double-up rider can only be replaced by another double-upper or PL 6 pointer?!
  3. Mediocre, average, journeymen?? Whatever. The NL product in the late 80's and into the nineties was superb because the racing was brilliant with the likes of Boyce, Adams and other young riders et al entertaining everyone!! Crowds were packed in, fans travelled to away meetings in huge numbers. The current EL and PL would be rubbing their hands with those crowds.
  4. Aside from any dubious refereeing decisions, exclusions, or mechanical issues - no excuses for either team. May the best team on the night win!
  5. Sums up this forum when an 'Arena Essex' thread becomes 'its all Poole's fault' by the usual suspects!!
  6. The track should be fine for both teams as both the Swindon track curator and Sky's track co-ordinator are in attendance!!!
  7. ....and hopefully in this section, it can be related to what he's doing for Torun and Piraterna rather than Swindon or Poole!!!!
  8. How "at the moment" is DW being a plonker? 10 months ago yes, but what evidence do you have for "at the moment"? He's served his time, is back doing what he does best and started to score points for fun again. Hope he gets to double figures this evening - 9+1 would do!!
  9. Finally....!! Piotr pawlicki certainly said it so no doubt his brother and any number of top foreign rider feel the same.
  10. Apart from the EDRs there are only 10 out of 40 EL riders that also ride in the PL - so hardly the majority!!
  11. I'm sure I've heard that before somewhere!!?
  12. Yes but what about the 20 meeting rolling average? Incidentally on the subject of reserves, Paul Starke is in a rich vein of PL form and confidence at the moment and his EL scores have improved so he could even be the trump card tomorrow?!
  13. Well at least you're not bottom of the EL anymore!!
  14. He's already had a stint as Australia U21 Team Manager.
  15. Not heard anything - and don't expect to as far as Poole are concerned as they did absolutely nothing wrong. To be fair to the SCB they are usually very prompt in making their announcements - assuming there is anything to announce?! I guess any wording would have to be 'agreed' by all concerned especially GSI and Coventry!!
  16. You must have been gutted when he became World Champion whilst riding for Poole!!?
  17. Brady and Jack Holder are in the Poole pits most Wednesdays. I think 'agreements' are in place as far as their respective futures are concerned!! But as with everything else in speedway it'll come down to team-building points limits and any other new rules.
  18. Wrong again! Collected from his flight at Heathrow by his long-term girlfriend and driven straight to Swindon for practice. Dedication I would say!
  19. To be fair that's 5 more than Adrian did a couple of weeks ago!! (Even though I thought the 5 didn't count??!!!!!)
  20. I couldn't be further from being a Coventry fan - but your recent posts are just plain insulting.
