  1. 418 pages now Darcy - Well done son! Welcome back.
  2. We get all camera views in the course of a meeting so don't see the issue personally.
  3. I see Wolves have changed their riding order (PK to 1.; Freddie to 5.) in order to rebuild Freddie's confidence!! Surely if that were the aim, he would be better riding at 3 for a while?!
  4. Nice words from Paul Starke about Lewis Rose in today's Bournemouth Echo. www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway
  5. Didn't say Milik didn't want to ride, just that his financial demands at the start of the season were too much for MF to consider ie more than some established heat leaders!! ps."Poole Pirates: I'm still a Pirate in my heart says asset Darcy Ward" - www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway
  6. I sincerely hope that Jon Cook - after his year away from the MC - puts himself forward for the Chair position when Alex Harkess steps down in October. Maybe Matt Ford would agree to serve as his deputy and get rid of some of the old boys!!
  7. Perhaps Buster has taken on too much timewise with the extra BSPA MC commitments?
  8. Who says that pawlicki wants to come over? THJ got married yesterday so I doubt will want to commit to more fixtures and Lasse bjerre??????? WTF?
  9. Milik damaged his wrist when guesting for Lakeside at Poole last Wednesday - he came off the back when attempting a wheelie!! It was heavily strapped for the GP and was ok for his early heats but he tweaked it again.
  10. Any chance that the scores aren't mentioned on here until the Eurosport coverage is on?!
  11. As I've said on the meeting thread, I thought the Sky approach was a bit over the top. However, its good to hear riders of both teams say what a great influence he is both on track and in the pits - a real team man, as Poole fans know only too well!
  12. What you are seeing with Vaclav is what Pirate fans witnessed last year - injuries aside - he can be seemingly brilliant in one or two races and then totally out of his depth in others. Great to watch when he's on song though.
  13. Well done to Swindon - the best team on the night. Both teams had their falls and their engine issues, but Swindon came out on top. If it had been a first leg play-off then an 8-point deficit would be acceptable. If Kyle Newman had been able to sort out his speed in the first half of the meeting as he did in the 2nd half then maybe it would have been closer. But similarly with Hans. But as with any meeting its all ifs and buts.....! It will be interesting to see how Swindon perform away from home now. PS. As a Poole and Darcy fan I thought the Sky coverage was just so over the top!!!!!!!
  14. I wonder if at this year's AGM the BSPA will re-introduce the rule that a missing double-up rider can only be replaced by another double-upper or PL 6 pointer?!
  15. Mediocre, average, journeymen?? Whatever. The NL product in the late 80's and into the nineties was superb because the racing was brilliant with the likes of Boyce, Adams and other young riders et al entertaining everyone!! Crowds were packed in, fans travelled to away meetings in huge numbers. The current EL and PL would be rubbing their hands with those crowds.
  16. Aside from any dubious refereeing decisions, exclusions, or mechanical issues - no excuses for either team. May the best team on the night win!
  17. Sums up this forum when an 'Arena Essex' thread becomes 'its all Poole's fault' by the usual suspects!!
  18. The track should be fine for both teams as both the Swindon track curator and Sky's track co-ordinator are in attendance!!!
  19. ....and hopefully in this section, it can be related to what he's doing for Torun and Piraterna rather than Swindon or Poole!!!!
  20. How "at the moment" is DW being a plonker? 10 months ago yes, but what evidence do you have for "at the moment"? He's served his time, is back doing what he does best and started to score points for fun again. Hope he gets to double figures this evening - 9+1 would do!!
  21. Finally....!! Piotr pawlicki certainly said it so no doubt his brother and any number of top foreign rider feel the same.
  22. Apart from the EDRs there are only 10 out of 40 EL riders that also ride in the PL - so hardly the majority!!
