  1. It did limit Wolves re track prep especially on wet days as they couldn't get access til 6pm.
  2. Birmingham aren't even sure if they are running at all atm!! Oxford's greyhound schedule for 2024 has just been announced, including Thursday afternoons so they would have to go Mondays!!? Not sure how that would go down?
  3. It's the first time it's been out of the UK for several years! Tenerife over Rugby? What's not to like?!
  4. Yes maybe but the rumoured 38 point limit has been discussed and broadly agreed (by the majority of club promoters; ps. I'd love to know the vote result!!) during their regular meetings throughout the season. The AGM - like any company AGM - should be just to 'rubber-stamp' what has been agreed to date - unless there is a change in the number of teams taking part in each league!!! There is clearly a move to widen the gap between Prem and Championship and the way they.ve chosen to do it (we think) is to reduce the Championship team building limit rather than increase the smaller Premiership League,
  5. It's not an hours difference! But the booze and hot weather does have an effect!! Anyway I shall go back to what I was doing now.
  6. Yes so sorry i was a week ahead of myself! It's me being overseas that threw me!
  7. A Wednesday track will rule out anyone racing in Danish League.
  8. Tradition! It works so why change it?
  9. Why would Poole or indeed any club agree to race in a 'higher' league on an off race night which would almost certainly lead to a big financial loss - despite tv revenue (which doesnt amount to that much in the overall scheme of things!) - and already be on the back foot as regards team building, despite Poole's previous successes at that level? Especially having lost money in their last 'successful' Elite League year!! To move up and race on a Wednesday - maybe, if they have full access to their many assets even those that may have 'agreed' 2024 with other clubs!! (Sits back and awaits............?)
  10. I get all that. But when ARC move the PB dogs to the new track they'll be left with a PB lease of £300k p.a. With no income? Unless they surrender the lease back to Corbally. If Corbally aren't ready to develop PB despite pressure from council then surely there is a possibility of someone (Tolley + others?) to negotiate a short term lease for sports to continue?
  11. Surely the 'new' Wolves won't want to race on a Friday?! Rob Godrey would have a fit!!
  12. OK I'll bite. The difference was that the paperwork was submitted and approved by BSPL/SCB to include him in the 1-7 but then the Czechs changed their rules about their riders riding abroad. (Covid etc)
  13. But presumably Boothby makes it pay at that level?
  14. But the Oxford guy has at least 2 other greyhound tracks! Does he not get tv at those as well as at Cowley? If he hasn't got tv then how does he make it pay? Nb Swindon dogs are still fully operational.
  15. What about the greyhound chap who got the Oxford stadium on a ten year lease? Where did those dogs come from?
  16. Didn't they start doing that after the Barker incident last year - albeit briefly!!
  17. Was it not stated earlier that they had no immediate plans to develop PB. Although Council were 'encouraging' them to start sooner?
  18. Are all Polish U.24 riders classed as 'seniors' in the main squad?
  19. Pickering has already said he has to rethink his options for 2024!!
  20. Just as well it probably won't get reported anywhere else then!
