Kings Lynn Vs Belle Vue : Wed 23rd July
SteveLyric2 replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Full teams for both sides according to the website. -
I don't understand why the ACU would even consider overturning an SCB ruling which was solely based on breaking the rules?! Agreed that the other issues about 'meeting responsibilities on or before the day' need further clarification, assuming they haven't already been clarified at the SCB hearing, but that's a separate issue. The sideways pop at Poole is also totally unneccesary. Poole didn't issue any statement, Gordon Pairman (SCB Board member) merely answered a question put to him in an Echo interview!!
-
Not wishing to absolve Chris from his scores last night, but he was on the pace and not simply lagging behind. There is other 'off-track' stuff going on which is clearly having an effect!!
-
Judging by the lack of response to your last question, it seems not many are that interested!
-
Well done to the Wolves. Poole leading the way again in showing the rest of the EL how to defeat from the jaws of victory!!! Anyway, Wednesday is another day - still in 2nd place. I wonder who will get the short straw of getting Poole in the semis? August averages after last night (subject to BSPA approval) MJ 8.80; CH 7.78; DW 6.41; DN 5.86; KG 4.97. Total 33.82.
-
Is that the same video evidence they took to SCB?? Or is Mick taking his porn stash.......?
-
How are you going to do that?
-
Gomolski being mentioned in the Echo preview today as 'needing to get to grips with the smaller away tracks'. The first time that any individual has been named to improve!! Gomolski is currently on 4.83 rolling average, with tonight's meeting at Monmore to count towards the August averages!! The team total is 33.76 at the moment. So any replacement for him would be around 5 points or a 7 point PL double upper - subject to any major changes to the averages from the scores at Wolves this evening.
-
Lets wait and see after the final meeting tomorrow for the August averages!! That's exactly what Matt said in his radio interview. He would possibly make one change and keep an eye on things over the next couple of weeks!!

Good to see Walasek winning races in Poland today, so I assume he'll be back for Leicester asap?!

Belle Vue V King's Lynn 20 July, 2015

Every club has to submit their proposed team for away meetings a few days before, if only to get the match programme to the printers on time. It doesn't mean that they shouldn't wait to give their own fans the latest and most up-to-date team news possible. -
Not totally in agreement FB - Matt is talking about possibly one change, whereas you've been advocating dropping both Watt and North but not Gomolski!! We'll have to see........... In actual fact, Poole's top 2 were going to be Ward and Magic until the inevitable happened eventually!! Next year will be dependent on the points limit and whether Maciej wants to do EL ?!
-
Maybe that's why there wasn't a track inspection at heat 9??

For Monday meetings don't they usually wait til the Polish fixtures on Sunday have finished?! -
Swedish Elitserien 2015, Round 10

Was the extra hour due to some iffy presentation/announcing?? -
I think you must have misheard - he is still riding for Poole but simply in Swindon kevlars!!!
-
Just to add fuel to the fire, Matt was live on BBC Radio Solent's Sports show Saturday afternoon for over an hour. Amongst many other things he did say he was considering one possible change over the next couple of weeks as the team needed to score solidly both home and away. He is quoted as saying 'I am keeping an eye on the situation'!! (NB this is not a 'wind-up' - the show is available on BBC I-Player. MF joins the show just after 3 pm for over an hour.)
-
....and it doesn't end there if you look at the Scunthorpe website!! £200 fine for Tungate not sufficient apparently?!
-
Well its clearly not affecting Poole's attendances as MF stated on BBC Radio Solent yesterday (in an hour long interview) that attendances had been up in both of the last 2 years! Having said that I believe there should be a better deal for accompanied youngsters (whatever happened to 'kids for a quid'?) and also for the teenagers/early 20 somethings!
-
Wasn't he BSPA Vice Chair at the time? And didn't the SCB official approve the decision?! And didn't the SCB find there was no case for Poole to answer?! Unlike the Coventry situation in this case!!
