  1. If they want to keep Doyle and have any chance of attracting other GP-standard riders then they need to change their racenight. As much as Doyley is loyal to DH, he has made no secret of the fact of how difficult it has been to accommodate the fixtures in his schedule.
  2. Gomolski likely to be missing with aggravated knee injury - if meeting is on!!? He is having intensive physiotherapy in Poland.
  3. You'll be able to watch Stars v Bees now!! and still follow the Pirates updates on twitter - assuming its not raining of course!!
  4. Hope this is more accurate than their scores/updates from BV last night!!!!
  5. Where are you getting this info that Rye House are riding Friday?
  6. Darcy will be more dialled in than last time (although not sure about Morris and Summers) and Poole will prefer Swindon in the semis (unless its already decided at BV tonight?!), so if Poole really are serious about finishing top then lets hope that's enough motivation for a narrow win. 47-43
  7. Not forgetting the '7-day window before the Play-off 1st leg to replace any injured riders'!!
  8. He is scheduled to ride on Wednesday so at least get his name right - its Milik!!
  9. That's funny - Rye House were at Plymouth LAST Friday!!!!
  10. Ben Morley in for Starke who is riding for Somerset.
  11. You are forgetting the fines and pointless appeal fees, FB!!!!
  12. Its a permanent replacement for the rest of the season, not a guest!!
  13. Philip, please stop giving sensible opinions.........this is a speedway forum after all!!!!!!!!!! Should be a good meeting with Ward now 'dialled in' rather than when he visited Poole last - to ride!! Although Liverpool v the Premier new boys would still be a good choice.
  14. There is only one EL team (Wolves) who don't currently have at least one GP rider in their side. There is only Leicester and Kings Lynn that own their own stadia - and whose to say their costs/revenue are any better/worse than those who rent from a landlord, be it greyhounds or other motor sport?! Costs MAY be less but revenue will also be less as the stadium owners usually take all the food, beverage and car park income. Even Jon Cook has said that Lakeside would only operate EL despite the uncertainty of their facilities. Any cost cutting has got to be with the machinery, as that would make things less expensive for the riders who would then in theory not need to be paid as much by their clubs. That saving could and should be passed on as a reduction in admission charges to fans. Finally EL meetings should be restricted to just 2 days a week eg Mondays/Wednesdays or Weds/Thurs.
  15. Just as a bit of a side issue - but nevertheless relevant to those tracks in a greyhound stadium - there have been a number of big articles in the national press recently about the 'demise' of greyhound racing!! If not a demise then certainly a downward spiral in terms of attendance. This was also reflected in one of the BBC 1 programmes a couple of weeks ago about gambling and how many of the on-track bookmakers are only forecasting the sport continuing for maybe 5 years at best!!? Not quite sure whether that presents a threat or an opportunity to Speedway promoters?!
  16. Absolutely. Poole want North to get as many meetings as possible to stop him from getting bored!!
  17. Maybe Poole should have stopped North from guesting and scoring 7+2?!
  18. Maybe some of the Robins fans were asking for news in a barbed sort of a way?!
  19. I wonder what the odds might be of Ward and Lambert being in the same team next season?!
