  1. Spotted Norrie on TV at the Somerset meeting last night - no doubt sussing out his guest options for the coming fortnight!?
  2. A win v BV; Lose to Swindon, a couple of points from Lakeside/Leicester away, then check the state of play for our final EL meeting v KL on 2nd September?!
  3. I believe the cut off for the play-offs is September 9th, with the first p/o semi final scheduled for Monday 14th.
  4. If Swindon Darcy keeps going at the same rate, Swindon could pip Poole for 2nd place with 2 x 4 pt away wins and a home win.
  5. Unless anything untoward happens this evening or tomorrow, then at least we should see both teams with their full 1-7s.
  6. I think this will be a close one. But then again I thought the same about Poole v Swindon!!! If Zagar is not up for it and Bay City Cook can be controlled by the ref then Pirates to win 48-42.
  7. If Josh G comes through unscathed guesting at Glasgow today then he should be ok for the coming week!
  8. Eight 5-1s and four 4-2s made for a rather processional meeting on a very slick track (due to the rain threat). In fact I think the potential for rain was more of a threat than a very poor Leicester side. Light rain started at around 21.30 hours so well done to all for speeding the meeting through. ps. lots of chit chat amongst the fans (and some sponsors) as to who one of the new riders might be!!!! Could be a big surprise on the way?!
  9. Yeah shocking! Lets hope that Paul Starke can stay on his bike a bit more. He's getting as bad as milik lately in both EL and PL!!!!
  10. What averages will be in operation when we race KL on September 2nd?
  11. Thought we might have been good for at least a point! Still think now that Swindon have the edge for the play-offs even though I predicted BV at the beginning of the season.
  12. Lee Payne confirmed for Auty at 6. Just a heads up - heavy showers forecast for early evening tomorrow.
  13. I thought I'd get one or two others going A ORLOV!!
  14. Poor show from the Pirates - small track syndrome again!! Looking at the EL table, Poole could yet lose 2nd place to Swindon who are still in pole position for the play-offs!! Matt has until 28th (by which date the 4 play-off teams should be known) to make changes if he wants to. Will he give Poole asset THJ permission to talk to another club before then?!
  15. Surely if Morris is fit to race for Glasgow on the Sunday then unless he gets injured again he should ride on the Monday or Swindon shouldn't have a facility for him?!
  16. Doolan at 2; Olly Greenwood at 7; Still waiting for Auty's replacement!
  17. I am sure if Lewis was able to be asked, he would want the meeting to go ahead and for the Stars to win!!
  18. For what its worth I think SteveBrum's recent posts have been toned down considerably compared to a year or so ago. I've even taken him off ignore as he now makes some good points in a fairly even-minded way!!
  19. Haven't I read somewhere that the Brits will take part next year - if they are invited?! In the SEC and the Pairs.?
  20. Presumably Leicester lodged their official protest - with fee - before the meeting began and then rode 'under protest', rather than wait until they lost?!
  21. This could have an effect on the 4th place for the play offs. I can't see Poole giving away another 10 point lead, but then you never know. Both teams are set to track their full 1-7s, with Davey Watt moving up to 3rd heat leader in place of Dak North. I guess after the events at Peterborough today, that they may have an effect on Josh G who was involved in the Kerr crash and was said to be visibly upset - as were several of the other riders, including Cook and Neilsen who were in the same race. Hoping for a good, dry, injury-free meeting.
