Oxford is still a fairly well equipped stadium. Matt Ford said in his recent radio interview that he knew of at least one promoter keen to resurrect speedway there!

The 4 play-off teams have an extra period to make a change for injured or missing riders - it has to be a rider NOT currently riding in UK! This period was originally 7 days prior to the play-offs in order for guests not to be used as last season. However with the EL season now being extended to 10th September, I assume that might have changed?!

People who still believe the EL season extends to the end of October should think again. With the Aussie GP on 24/10 and the BSPA AGM brought forward a month to 17th October and Polish/Swedish play-offs also scheduled for September, its becoming a 6-month April-September season. The only thing that may extend it this season is any special Darcy Ward meeting?!

I think fans of all clubs that have any of the Aussie boys in their teams should be a little realistic and not expect everyone to perform to their expected form. I'm not sure that a Poole win is on the cards here?!
