Update on Dak's father's accident in the B'mth Echo now. Those that want the link can find it easily enough -
Subject to his visa stipulations of course............!
-
You beat me to it both of you!!!!!!!!???. 2 articles in the ECHO - Matt Ford's explanation and Davey (rightly) having a go at some of Coventry's so-called fans!!

So after a great but very late night at Wimborne Road yesterday (and an even later morning!) I have finally managed to catch up on this thread. Well done to all the Bees fans that made the trip and a particular well done to Bomber and Hans for coming across at the end and shaking all the Pirates' hands!! I'm not going to go over all the vitriolic posts that have gone before, other than to say that I think the 'seething and disillusionment' expressed by the Bees Mangement before the meeting was simply down to the frustration of finding out that Matt Ford had already booked Eddie Kennett as a guest when they tried to make contact themselves! Some of the attacks on Dak's father's situation are simply unbelieveable and we shall have to await further post-operative information before any decision on whether a further medical certificate might be needed?! ( Incidentally, having a brother in the medical field, it is probable that the medical certificate for Dak contained 'depression' or 'anxiety' as the reason, and hence why Poole gave him compassionate leave. I believe Josh G's certificate contained a similar diagnosis after Kerr's crash.) Personally I would have given the Rider of the Night Award to either Watty or Ginger, but Darcy's message that it should go to Eddie Kennett was a classic response to Horton's earlier bs!! Well done to Lemo and the Aces (commiserations to Rosco and the Robins) - looking forward to 2 tough meetings next week ps. If mdmc2 is looking for a medical certificate to cover her 'repetitive strain injury', it can be arranged.
-
Don't forget your sunglasses all those that are attending. Lovely bit of weather in Poole.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong (and not sure if this has already been posted amongst all the BS) but didn't Belle Vue get a facility for Josh G on compassionate grounds, just after the Kerr crash because 'his head wasn't in the right place'??!
-
Maybe he can't get a flight til Thursday?!
-
He has been told not to jump on a plane but to wait for further news from his mum following the operation!! Whats so difficult to understand with that course of action? His head must be all over the place!!
-
I doubt there will be any news about Garrity until the Bees coach has left!
-
Yes but to be fair if he hits a golf ball that isn't under control - that's far less of a concern than riding a speedway bike that's not under control!! Surely you've only got to watch Garrity to know that!!
-
What is wrong with Dak playing golf - or anything else for that matter - with some mates?? Whats he supposed to do? Sit indoors and get more worried than he already is whilst waiting for the latest update from his mum?? FFS!!!
-
Please enjoy your pride!

What about the 'Speedway Pariamentary Group'? I'm not sure who's on it now or how much real clout they have, but it can't do any harm if you can get a contact! -
Any reputable agency would provide a selection of comparable cv's from which the employer would choose the most suitable!!
-
Where has it been stated that he saw Poole's club doctor?. The report says he went to see his own doctor. Have people not heard of 'private' doctors? Don't you have surgeries that open on Saturdays? I didn't realise the Coventry area was so far behind the times!!!! ps. Has anything more been said about Garrity's suspected broken ankle. Broken or not he shouldn't be allowed to ride as he could be putting himself and other riders at risk, if he's in the wrong state of mind!!
-
Which is why Poole called off their next scheduled meeting after DW's accident and why Holder withdrew from his Piraterna meeting!!
-
Any company could bring a 'specialist agency' worker in!! Speedway only allows a guest with a lower average!! Incidentally, don't people who are signed off with a medical certificate find it difficult to get insurance eg travel insurance? In any case, Dak's mother is keeping him as informed as the doctors are allowing and she has told him not to come back yet! That doesn't mean he isn't being severely affected by the circumstances!
-
The latest forecasts show much better weather for Monday - but if that proves to be not the case, then Thursday is looking possible!!!!

Newcastle Announcement 27 September
SteveLyric2 replied to Terrace Grumbler's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Teams with 'visa' riders in their plans will need to get them sorted asap, plus there could be a change in the number of PL teams (and consequently EL teams) which could affect the team-building limit!? -
