If that were true and if Matt Ford/Poole were indeed at fault all the time, then one would expect Poole's attendances to fall, whereas in fact they have at worst remained stable and for the past 2 years shown an increase. Surprisingly, if what you say has any factual basis then all the other EL teams would experience low attendances when Poole visit - which they don't!! All EL clubs have their best attendances (weather permitting) whenever Poole are the opponents. Just ask Mick Horton, Terry Russell, Jon Cook, Chris Morton etc etc. Any fall off in attendances at other clubs is down to a combination of poor facilities, poor value for money and a lack of local marketing/promotion!!

Poland 2016 Season Extraleague News
SteveLyric2 replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
I doubt they will announce a fixture list until all clubs' financial issues have been sorted and they've been granted licences again (or not?). -
Maybe some of the changes announced after Part 1 of the AGM have been re-thought during the 'cooling off' period before Part 2 of the AGM. Just as an example, Matt Ford has stated that he is looking for both reserves to be challenging for a place in the 1-5. That could of course mean that Poole are going top-heavy and will have at least one duff 2nd string?!
-
Can someone please tell him not to put riders at risk by allowing them to line up without goggles!!
-
What have I missed? Whats happening at Poole? Have we got another title-winning 1-7 again? Are crowds up more than expected? Have we got more sponsors on board? What have I missed.....??
-
If there were only 24 riders on the list (as some have suggested - but nobody knows for sure) then neither KK, both Pawlickis nor Buzz wouldn't have been on the list as they didn't ride here in 2015!!
-
In all previous years the BSPA AGM hadn't even been held yet!!!!
-
I'm surprised that Lambert has chosen a Sunday PL team rather than trying his luck in Poland?!
-
There could well be at least 2 of them that aren't 'ex'-Poole!!!!
-
One thing that may point to Cook is that one of his main sponsors is a regular Poole sponsor too!! Although I think it would be a big surprise if he did sign! I think the final 3 could well be 2 Aussies and a Pole!!
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but Wolves 14 home EL fixtures in 2015 weren't all in the first 3 months of the season were they?? In which case there would/will be loads of spare Mondays!!

Confirmed Elite League Signings 2016
SteveLyric2 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Newman 4.10 and Ellis 3.00 (0.60 higher than the 2015 EDRs!!) -
Buster is 'holding off' from naming his 1-7 at the moment as they haven't done deals with all the riders They've only spoken to NKI and Lambert but have several different teams on paper. (According to SS)
-
Matt Ford on BBC radio this morning stated a new signing/asset is in the last stages of negotiation with his parent club and expect an announcement in the next few days. Also stated he was 'hopeful' of getting Chris Holder's signature again in a few weeks time!!
-
Hans seems more than happy with his 2-year deal and a testimonial in 2017 at Poole!!

Excellent piece of intelligent lateral thinking. You see what you can achieve without too much vinho?! Looks like you've got 2 already!!

So I wonder who the other 2 'foreigners' will be for Torun - with Hancock also being rumoured????? -
I don't necessarily agree with all that you say. If the published averages (BSPA website) are not to be used - whether in an agreed HL list or not - whats the point of publishing the figures. Davey Watt (for example) has spent the vast majority of his recent EL career as an EL heat leader, as has Hans Andersen. If some sort of official figure is not used to differentiate between riders then it simply comes down to someone's opinion, as to who appears where on any list or not. Why should a fan's opinion be any more relevant than the promoters or some BSPA/SCB administrator - as long as it is agreed by all clubs before the team building begins? You will never get all fans to agree on everything - as this forum demonstrates in every thread every day!! The point is that the promoters have agreed such lists (with a maximum of 3 heat leaders from that list) and it is they that build the teams starting from the same position.
