Currently,except for occasional TV stipulations, and in recent seasons AFCB have held their midweek matches on Tuesdays to avoid clashing with Pirates Wednesday meetings. Hopefully the new American owners will continue with this arrangement as a good number of locals support both clubs!

Plus they attract fans and sponsorship from areas well away from Poole (20, 30, 40 miles away) despite there being other professional sports in those areas!!

I believe the plan is for the AGM/Conference to go to Friday lunchtime.

That was probably partially my fault. I was abroad and picked up on a conversation and simply got my weeks wrong. I blame the sun and booze!!

Its a Company AGM! The BSPL and the clubs have to submit their end-of-season financial accounts as well as declaring their intentions to run in 2024, as well as all the operational issues that need sorting. They can't do that the day after the last track action.

Good luck to them all if they can sort out all the problems in a one hour meeting?! They don't even know for definite how many teams in each league - assuming there is more than one?! If they can sort all the sports issues then a couple of days in the sunshine is the least they all deserve!

What was dismal about it other than 2 disappointing meetings at the end of the season? One trophy won; finished Top of the League and reported increased attendances! I wonder how many other clubs had 'dismal' seasons?
