After protecting Kyle Newman, Matt Ford was always going to go for the best 3.00 reserve available in order to fit the rest of his proposed 1-7 within the points limit. It happened to be Ellis , with whom he'd already checked availability!
Its why he didn't go for Starke (3.60) again.
This week's Speedway Star should make for some interesting reading as it contains 'Mick Horton's ambitious plans to save Brandon Stadium as a speedway venue for Coventry Bees'!!!
Interesting that Buster's comments don't make specific reference to EL and/or PL - simply 'UK Speedway'!!
EL should go Weds/Thursday and PL Fri/Sat/Sun
You have to take Crazy Robin's comments with a pinch of salt Baz. One lucky guess about Ellis (after Jon Cook announced a month ago that he given other clubs the chance to speak to Adam) and he kids himself that all of his other posts have a relevance to the respective thread........
And only the 'midweek' teams have any chance of getting him - subject to fitness and whether Leicester run on an off-night for him in GP weeks and make him a real offer he couldn't refuse
If Hans is on the BSPA list as a 2nd String (Yes I know where he finished at Coventry), then this thread will once again go overboard with accusations!!!
I would have Hans at 3; either Josh (6.00) or Kacper (5.51) at 4; leaving in either case 8+ for our heat leader!!
I blame the new BSPA Chairman 100% - he couldn't have chaired a worse first meeting!!!!
and still not announced his own reserves!!? Disgraceful..........
