  1. My post about Buzz being a heat leader was based on Matt's comments in this article - which was published as was the signing, AFTER the resumed AGM, when any/all outstanding issues re the rules and regs were presumably sorted?! The earlier BSPA statement only refers to clubs having a maximum of 3 riders from their Heat Leader list!! If for example, a club only selects 1 from that list, it doesn't mean they will only go with one heat leader - they will still have 3 (riding at 1,3 and 5) which will be determined by their listed averages, as will the 2nd strings. The only other published info from the BSPA is reference any new untried foreign riders (of heat leader standard?) who will be assessed at 6.50 and added to the BSPA list. (Although this did come out after Part 1 of the AGM and MAY have been changed in the AGM Part 2?! We don't know.
  2. Apologies BV fans. The 'discussion' originated over whether Dak North might be a BV target?!
  3. Ah so you are changing your stance to 'IF he is on the list'?! Of course you haven't seen a list - nobody other than the promoters has seen the list, which may have been altered at the BSPA AGM Part 2, for all anyone knows. What I'm saying is the only list available to fans is the final list of averages on the BSPA website in black and white end of discussion.
  4. 'Down as a heat leader'?? Where have you seen that official statement in black and white? If you want to be pedantic the final BSPA averages list have him as 5.91 2nd string!! You are correct in one thing - my earlier comment was purely my opinion based on watching him race every week - North is not a heat leader!
  5. Please show me and everyone else the rule!!! Or is it just your opinion?
  6. You are incorrect Gavan - get over it on another thread!!
  7. Buzz has to be a heat leader. His is the highest of the averages of the Poole riders signed so far - Buzz 6.48; Hans 6.45; Brady 5.24.
  8. I don't care what any list, riding position or the stats say - North is not yet a heat leader!! Trust me, having watched him in every home meeting this year, he is not yet a heat leader and would be a risk for any club having him as one in 2016.
  9. This is part of Matt's longer term plan to 'rebuild' for the future and probably the worst kept secret around Poole bearing in mind MF announced his interest back in May!!. Brady (and Jack Holder) have been regulars at Wimborne Road this season - which again is not surprising as he lodges with Middlo. I guess Brady will start at 2 and he and Kyle will do a bit of alternating between 2nd string and reserve. Quite a brave move for Brady with no doubling down/up!!! I think 2016 will see a bit of 'consolidation' by Poole - maybe giving some of the other teams a chance to win something.
  10. Wolves fans delighted at getting a new signing - 'Fast' Freddie!!!
  11. Anyone hear Mr Hemsley on Radio Leicester at 6.15 ish this evening?? Anything interesting come out of it?
  12. Kurtz at reserve after 4 meetings wouldn't be too bad I suppose?! I can't see Piotr Pawlicki wanting to do EL in his first SGP season?! Shamek seemed quite keen on a return at Darcy's benefit meeting?! Matt said he couldn't fit Starkey in at reserve (hence Ellis on 3) to stay under the 40.5 so its anyone's guess what the final line-up will be??!
  13. Will Doyley's average still be 9.44, as he only achieved that figure riding for Leicester?? (joke) Seriously if Swindon's new track coming on stream in May/June, won't that mean lots of fixtures being crammed into GP weeks?
  14. If and when an asset is transferred or a new signing made - it doesn't necessarily mean that the rider will be in the team for the next season?!
  15. Poole didn't fiddle anything to get Newman back - he is their protected asset!!
  16. ....because as I stated earlier my post was in direct response to GRW's!!
  17. Sits back in shock and amazement!!! His next announcement will then start the domino effect with other clubs and riders.....! EDIT: Oh good didn't have to wait long - Swindon it is!!
  18. Every team has to stipulate its 'rain-off' night - its often within the club details section on their respective websites. In Wolverhampton's case its listed as Wednesdays!!!!
  19. My perfectly sane post was in direct response to GRWs attempt at blaming Matt Ford/Poole for most of Speedway's ills - in particular falling attendances. Please tell me what is incorrect in my post. If clubs get their best attendances when Poole visit - because they are 'the team to beat' - then these other EL club promoters need to get their respective fingers out of their backsides and start building stronger teams!!! As for the forum Poole troll Gavan talking about his visits to Ipswich??! - Totally irrelevant to this argument on the Poole/Coventry thread in the EL section.
  20. If that were true and if Matt Ford/Poole were indeed at fault all the time, then one would expect Poole's attendances to fall, whereas in fact they have at worst remained stable and for the past 2 years shown an increase. Surprisingly, if what you say has any factual basis then all the other EL teams would experience low attendances when Poole visit - which they don't!! All EL clubs have their best attendances (weather permitting) whenever Poole are the opponents. Just ask Mick Horton, Terry Russell, Jon Cook, Chris Morton etc etc. Any fall off in attendances at other clubs is down to a combination of poor facilities, poor value for money and a lack of local marketing/promotion!!
