Danny Ford on local radio today saying initial rider plans have changed in last couple of weeks due to 'unexpected rider availability'! Fans should be excited with the revised 1-7. Announcements to be drip-fed to maximise media coverage over the next couple of months. (PS. Full interview with Adam Roynon in the local Echo today and online. Front page/Back page and Full inside sports page - can't complain about that!)

I think both Drymls have retired. -
Assuming Cook is going to the Comets, his article in the SS this week is certainly a positive one!
-
,,,,,and its only Premiership clubs.
-
Don't you have any friends to meet up with?
-
I won't bother to message Lewy - he'll almost certainly read it on here!
-
So the 'good old days' that we keep hearing about, weren't so good after all?
-
Good luck for when the Euros '24 and Paris Olympics start!!
-
Crikey, how long ago did New Cross close? And did they go bust or were they forced out of there stadium?
-
As well as indoors, dry, warm, comfortable seating and little danger of any last minute call-offs! Very little point in comparing any outdoor sport with anything indoors!
-
You'll be lucky to get any beneficial answers out of Michael Gove - he's all about levelling up!!
-
Rumoured that Starke will be much further North! Joe Thompson?-
-
4.27?
-
Lets not forget Zaine Kennedy's younger brother, Declan!!??
-
So naming the full 1-7 so early let's hope they all come through the 5 Aussie Championship rounds unscathed.
-
Speedway Star ran it last week.

They rode Tuesdays in the late 80s when Merv and Pete took over from Weymouth in the old National League. I have programmes to prove it.
-
Middlo used to call him Darcy's Grandad!
-
So that probably means it'll be in Speedway Star on Thursday or online Tues night/Weds am.

I cant see Matt/Danny paying stadium rental for an extra regular NDL meeting. I would think it more likely to be after main meeting or the occasional individual meeting. Also as I've said before, next year is an Olympic year as well as Euros '24 so clubs will want to avoid any major TV sporting fixture clashes that may affect attendances.
-
Yes but looking back 10-20 years which of those clubs actually went bust and how many were kicked out of their stadia? I know of a couple that went through financial mismanagement by the speedway promotion but others??
-
Following previous year's AGMs there has usually been another 'follow up' statement by BSPL giving more detailed info and clarification on other issues discussed, for example any changes to heats, scoring, fixture cut-off dates for play offs etc etc. I wonder when we should expect it?
-
So where exactly has it been stated that 'attendances are plummeting' or 'clubs are going bust'?? Premiership clubs are reporting increased attendances due to having some 'big names' and several Championship clubs are also reporting increased attendances. Those clubs that are closed have been forced into the situation due to the actions of stadium owners/leaseholders - otherwise the likes of Wolves and Panthers would be continuing successfully. Oxford's owner is the stadium leaseholder (for 10 years at least) who also runs the greyhounds at Oxford and other tracks. I'm sure its his backing that is supporting Oxford Speedway Promotion to operate at 3 levels - simply to have activity at the stadium on several days a week. Presumably he takes the food. beverage revenue on all those days!?
-
Birmingham had no choice. It was either race on Mondays (meaning Premiership) or close down due to the stipulations of the greyhound stadium leaseholders!
-
No. It was just because Steve's was postponed and they ran out of suitable dates for both Rich and the club.
