Havvy's wife Jayne has posted a more encouraging message on twitter.
-
In any case, Kyle Newman imposed a fine on himself in the final as he donated his goggles to the Belle Vue Fans on the 1st/2nd bend at Wimborne Road. A very constructive gesture imho.
-
Best wishes to Havvy and Jayne from the South Coast!

He can't wear boxing gloves - he wouldn't be able to get the tissues out the box or off the roll!!

Great news.

There is also a story going around that Motorcycle Australia (MA) have had to substantially cut funding to all Aussie Team competitions as well as to certain individuals. This is directly due to a reduction in funding to MA by the Australian Sports Commission!! MA are seeking sponsors as an alternative funding source. If I can find a decent authoratative link, I'll post it.

Thanks E I Addio, thats exactly what I was trying to say. You clearly have a better way of putting it than I do!

Well said Sherborne Green!! If only..........

Irrelevant to whom?? The promoters all agreed to it, with all its flaws!! I'm not trying to say that it is an accurate assessment, simply trying to understand how the list was drawn up?! This particular attempt at trying to provide some sort of 'equalisation' between 8 EL clubs, is in many ways no different to past seasons when new rules to regulate the number of heatleaders per team have been brought in eg only 2x 7+ riders; only 1 x 8+ rider etc. Whatever the new rules are for each season - and whenever they are agreed - all promoters have the same equal opportunity (other than different race nights!!) to get their fingers out and start their team-building.

A good choice - and another loan fee for Poole!!
-
Yes, riding 15 meetings for Leicester being the main one!!!
-
Just a thought, but whatever the racing format in past years, its the riders' finishing average that dictates whether he ends the season as a heat leader or a 2nd string, no matter how many meetings they may have ridden in different team positions during the season. Looking at the list, that seems to be the core of what the BSPA have done, plus adding those riders from the GP/Euro list that might be attracted to the EL eg, the KKs of this world. With the likes of Leicester now being rumoured to be offering a big contract to a former Polish GP rider, maybe if they had acted sooner (the AGM's been over for a month or more!) they could have had a stronger team in place by now?!
-
What you don't seem to (want to) grasp is that Dak wasn't originally too fussed about coming back to the EL or being a squad member for Rybnik in the Polish 2nd tier. However what has changed and very few expected it, is that Rybnik have gone into Poland's Extraleague as a replacement for one of the bankrupt clubs! An Extraleague contract as well as interest from 2 or 3 EL clubs (not to mention the Danish League contract!!) was enough to make him reconsider. I really don't mind if certain people choose to disbelieve what i'm saying, but that's what you get from speaking to Dak directly.
-
Poole don't pay silly wages but they do have quite a few decent sponsors who put packages together for certain riders. Some sponsors stick with a rider no matter who he rides for (depending on what their product/service is) eg Bjarne amongst others, but some don't and only offer the big bucks when riding for Poole.
-
Isn't there also a new rule about if a 2nd string is missing through riding elsewhere then it can only be r/r not a guest!! Not sure what happens if both 2nd strings are missing??
-
From what Chris Holder earns at Poole and through Poole sponsorship, I doubt any other British club would be able to get close!! Dak's situation and change of heart has now come up on a number of threads. He was definitely going to give 2016 a miss. However he has now had 3 contract offers from Denmark, Poland and now Swindon so has changed his mind, with the full support of his family. I gather he's staying in Oz for as long as possible to help out and then coming over to Europe in late February - or possibly earlier?!
-
Its the deals in Poland and Denmark as much as Swindon's that have changed Dak's mind, with the full support of his dad and family. To be fair, for a rider of Dak's ability and inconsistency, (and that's not knocking Dak) to be offered contracts in 3 countries would take a lot for any decent rider to turn down, whatever his family circumstances.

Strange that it was not only Mads that didn't do that well at Leicester!!? Maybe its a Danish thing? Or maybe its a management/motivational thing?!
