  1. Is batchelor competing? Rumour that he's had a motocross accident!!?
  2. Give it a rest Gav!! Incidentally didn't Middlo simply ask 'Are you retarded?' on his tweet, rather than make a statement as SCB did?! In any case Middlo had his 'slap on the wrist' from his authorities, the same as SCB has had his from this forum!! Move along. Peace and Goodwill to all!
  3. I don't disagree with your assessment FB. In fact I'll put my colours to the mast and say that Poole will not top the league come the end of 2016 season.
  4. Damn, I was over that way earlier this morning!! Good effort.
  5. Torun press call today - they look a very decent outfit again!
  6. With the small amount of live sport that the BBC will have left by this time next year, I guess they will have to include some sporting heroes that aren't on BBC!!! Unless it'll be all from the Olympics, Euros 2016 or Wimbledon again.
  7. I don't believe they were there last night, but they were a couple of years ago!! ps. I watched the programme last night but must have blinked or nodded off before Tai was apparently mentioned?!
  8. Every business, group, organisation or section of the public has a proportion of people in it who could be classed as 'thick', many also with a degree of 'bias'!! The issue is whether they should be told so. The old adage 'the customer is always right', may well still have some truth - but it doesn't mean they can't also be thick and biased?! But again do you say so - or worse - in print in the media or on a forum? That's my Sunday 'Thought of the Day' !!
  9. So it seems you can't even wish a friend good luck any more?! Although I'm not on twitter, it was all over Facebook yesterday by Alun and Julie themselves, including Julie thanking everyone for their good wishes. Its nothing to do with 'being in the know', as some are calling it. Alun and Julie have been friends since Rosco skippered Poole all those successful years ago!!
  10. Middlo has had his admonishment from the Speedway Control Bureau. Time for yours now - enjoy the hols.
  11. I understood Middlo had been taken to task for his use of unacceptable language on Twitter. I hope the mods on here do the same to you SCB. Just accept that you crossed a line - whether others in officialdom feel Jon Cook has as well is up to them to determine and take the necessary action.
  12. Best wishes to Mrs Rosco (Julie) who goes into hospital for an op today. Get well soon Julie (I hate to think of Rosco in the kitchen on his own!!)
  13. What they achieved is a heat leader list that they all agreed to so that team building could commence with the agreed maximum of 3 per team from the list. Who exactly has been disadvantaged by it?? A few disgruntled forumers whose alternative formula wasn't used and who rarely attend meetings anyway!! The poor language is uncalled for though - probably why they don't bother much with this forum!!
  14. Testimonial announced for Chris Holder for his 'services to Speedway'. Not sure when he wants to hold it?
  15. Isn't it a bit strange that the asset system has never been challenged in law?! Not sure exactly who would benefit one way or the other? It doesn't seem to make a huge difference to the riders; and if enough promoters were against it surely they would be the ones to challenge it?!
  16. PL was Workington, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
  17. Its no skin off my nose whether people believe me or not! I posted in an earlier post that Dak wasn't fussed about coming back. That included as I said only being offered a squad place in the Polish 2nd tier, quite apart from the uncertainty (at the time) of an EL place. The fact that Rybnik, his Polish club are now very unexpectedly in the top league and offering Polish Tier 1 wages, together with his Danish contract on top, all adds to why he has changed his mind. If people think I'm making this stuff up then theres not much I can do about it. Those that know me know that I have sponsored at Poole for many years and Swindon back in the day! (the team, riders, meetings, heats etc) and as such often get told things that the average fan might not be told - much of which I would never put on forums such as this! Apologies Swindon fans for taking up this thread. I think Dak will do fine for you - especially if he stays as a 2nd string, as that is when he was at his most effective for Poole.
  18. Its only a referees' award!! What do they know?! Shame there isn't a Riders' award for best track?!
  19. Well done to Wolves, being voted Best Track by the SCB referees again. 2nd - Swindon 3rd - Leicester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????????????
  20. There is an updated and more positive tweet from Jayne Havelock today apparantly!! (I'm not on Twitter!)
  21. No wriggling from me. I know what I know and I know what I was told from the 'horse's mouth'!! Of course he was a bit put out at not being part of Poole's 2016 plans and at the time was part of his reasoning for giving 2016 a miss. Anyone can have their mind changed by new circumstances!!
  22. Havvy's wife Jayne has posted a more encouraging message on twitter.
