  1. Yes Good Friday always leaves something for the purist!! Incidentally, the track rode very well this evening - the only crash was Hans' d/q in heat 15 for taking out Woryna's front wheel. (Yes Bees fans, Woryna was in heat 15!!)
  2. Agree with most of that!! Except Ellis didn't have an e/f in heat 2 - he miscounted the laps as he explained when interviewed at the end!! ("4 laps at Lakeside is like 3 at Poole"!!) Also I think Woryna was the star for Bees. I really can't understand the so-called Bees fans writing him off before he'd even ridden a race. The kid will get better given some decent support and encouragement, as I said when he was signed.
  3. Aren't there new starting procedures this year? I'm sure I read that somewhere - something about a 2nd white line behind the start line, which the front wheel must stay within?! (or have I dreamt that?) ps. The KK absence made a couple of the national 'red top' sports pages today!! I hope thats a positive sign for future coverage.
  4. The track was a bit patchy on Monday - made worse with part of the track in shade - but thats one of the problems with daytime racing/practice in the baking sunshine and chilly winds.
  5. r/r gives Garrity a further chance ..................to do what Garrity does!!!!
  6. Check with Kyle Newman - he'll have the answer.
  7. The bruising on KK's shoulder really came out over night - so black and blue - and that was before the physio today!! With only the 2 pieces of silverware available to EL clubs, Poole - and doubtless Coventry too - will be going all out to win the ES. Buzz rides in the 3rd Heat Leader position because his average (from 2014) puts him 3rd in Poole's averages. Similarly Hans who was signed from the EL Heat Leader list (based on 2015 performance) will start as a 2nd string as his average is 4th in Poole's list. Simples.
  8. Good to hear that KK is getting physio in Poole tomorrow in an attempt to be fit for Wednesday. Poole riding order for Wednesday: 1.Holder; 2. Kurtz; 3. Watt; 4. Andersen; 5. Buzz; 6. Ellis; 7. Newman.
  9. Don't think the riders will be on track til 3pm - when the public are allowed in - due to the usual noise restrictions imposed because of the school next door!!
  10. Buzz wasn't on the list because he didn't meet the list criteria - ie he didn't ride EL in 2015 - but lets not drag all that up again. Good to hear that KK is having laser treatment to try to be fit for this week. No breaks but severe bruising and ligament damage.
  11. Looking forward to seeing how the track rides on 30th March - unfortunately only on TV on this occasion!!
  12. Just to be clear, its not ALL poole fans who are showing negativity!!
  13. He scored as many as KK - and didn't crash!!
  14. Piratecast will be doing some audio from the Rider introductions (and possibly some periscope footage as last year) and some rider interviews for next Piratecast podcast.
  15. Coventry report this morning 'No breaks for KK' (but nothing about Wednesday's line-up)!! Poole report this morning that 'KK will be missing' on Wednesday!!?
  16. When Chris Holder won the World Championship in 2012, he rode the same engine everywhere - GPs, Leagues and Internationals - suitably tuned for varying track conditions, size and shape.
  17. Poole will keep it close on Wednesday so that Friday's return is not a foregone conclusion and there is still a decent crowd at Brandon. MF is always willing to assist other promotions with their business......! :-) ;-)
  18. Good to see Havvy recovering after his serious op!!
  19. ......and who has Woryna supported since a child???? (but wasn't allowed to retain his skull and crossbones on his Bees kevlars!?) ;-)
  20. Coventry's official practice today CANCELLED due to the track being in poor condition!!!
  21. That's so you feel you're getting better value for your hot cross buns and so your Easter Eggs don't melt too soon!!
  22. Lets hope the boys get some laps in before Wednesday. Forecast for P&P ain't too bad. Good luck to Hans and Buzz at EOES on Sunday. 52-38
  23. Well it will be/won't be - depending on the most favourable circumstances!! :-)
