Lets hope the boys get some laps in before Wednesday. Forecast for P&P ain't too bad. Good luck to Hans and Buzz at EOES on Sunday. 52-38 -
NKI has only signed until the first GP, which - surprise, surprise - is the end of April!!
-
Indeed! A bit like the WSL - so why does it matter which riders are selected as long as the meeting is 'interesting and international'??!
-
What's the point of travelling abroad to an event with little chance of competing equally if you are missing members of your regular team (Hans on this occasion) and cannot replace them with one of your own assets? Its strange that very few raise an eyebrow at KL wanting to strengthen their team against Wroclaw with first Doyle and then Nicholls - despite stating that they want to support the 'doing away with guests' in domestic meetings?!
-
Hardly, and neither are his many sponsors!!

I'm fully aware of how the H&S testing regulations work. I wasn't having a go at BV other than the short notice of the announcement that they need a decent number of people to attend on Thursday afternoon to test the access, entrances, turnstiles etc etc. I hope it all goes well. -
Not quite sure why some are getting hot under the collar about Nicholls' return?! Its not as if he's been guaranteed a final team place and he clearly wants to help the less-experienced riders in the squad as much as possible. Rosco will pick his final team based on his opinion as to who is in the best form at the time and who has ridden ok at the new stadium, as well as taking into account the team dynamic ie team spirit etc. ps. It would appear that Chris Harris did not practice with the rest of the Team GB squad in Gorican because he's not yet fit enough following an operation?? Any confirmed updates on this?
-
Will Bomber be fit to race on Wednesday as apparantly he couldn't actively participate in the Team GB practice over the weekend, due to still recovering from an op?!

A facility and access test for speedway in the afternoon on Thursday 10th it seems - a bit short notice for a work day but hey ho?! -
Great move by Poole to run the inaugural 'Race for Pete' after the Pirates v Bees ES meeting on 16th March, to commemorate the late Pete Ansell. Pete's widow Roz and his 2 sons together with former promoter Mervyn Stewkesbury will be in attendance!!

Aren't they supposed to be having a full 'test run' of all services and facilities on 13th?? -
No green-eyed monster from this Poole fan!! Good luck to Belle Vue and the new stadium - best thing to happen to British Speedway in years and I hope the same goes for the new Swindon racetrack (as well as the new Poole Stadium whenever the developers get their way!!)
-
Can't understand all this bickering over prices. Good luck to Belle Vue in the new stadium. Just another question - do the new £20/£23 admission prices include a programme? PS. The 'proposal' to redevelop Poole Stadium is still on the table for consideration!!!!!
-
The contract to buy and the price has been agreed 2 years ago!! MF says in the Star that sometimes its to a club's advantage for a rider to remain on another club's asset list. Apparantly in the PL, clubs are required to have a certain level of value - including the value of assets. I'm not sure what it means but that's what it says!!
-
Doyley would be on very, very dodgy ground if he pi$$ed off Debbie at Somerset!!!!
-
I would expect their respective contracts to insist they ride in 'official EL fixtures'!! Neither of these 2 fixtures are anything more than 'friendly, Challenge meetings' to blow the cobwebs away before the serious stuff starts!!!
-
So it would seem that Brady Kurtz remains a Somerset asset (according to Matt Ford in the SS) in order that Somerset maintain a strong value/asset base!!!??
