  1. The point was/is if Kyle Newman gets into the 1-5 and has a Plymouth fixture clash with a rearranged Poole fixture, would a Poole Number 8 (assessed 4 pointer yet to be signed) be able to be used to replace him? It would probably never happen as Poole would almost certainly use r/r, but what would the rules allow?
  2. Poole haven't got any double-up riders in their 1-5 - unless/until Kyle Newman moves up?!
  3. Holder travelled but fell ill at trackside. State of the track leaves a lot to be desired apparantly?!
  4. I bet things were a little fraught in the Rossiter household last night!!! :-)
  5. Yeah but Aussies aren't really foreigners are they?? Swindon know that for sure this season!!!!!
  6. Sounds as though you have a thing for 'besotted teenage girls', CR?! I know there's not much else to take your interest in Swindon, but have a care sir!!
  7. ...because - as has been stated publicly - Matt has 2 or 3 options who he wants to look at to see how they start their respective seasons, before making a decision! Jack's a 'done-deal' for the future anyway, with Chris Holder labelling Jack and Brady as the 'new Turbo Twins'!!
  8. So ist Morris riding? He's only listed as TBC in the Swindon line-up at Somerset.
  9. Surely you must mean 9 man Poole v 5 man Coventry?? Haven't you read the Woryna article in the Star this week??
  10. I wonder how many of the posts on this thread might be deleted after Friday evening?!
  11. In my opinion, streaming is not the answer as there is a risk that even more 'fans' might stay away for whatever reasons. Clubs want and need to be able to utilise 'highlights footage' to promote their sport on their own websites. This could be updated after every meeting - home and away - if deals are done with fellow promotions and then placed on social media and used at external promotional opportunities with a suitable 'Come and see it LIVE' incentive.
  12. At the BSPA/Fans forum it was stated that the BSPA were looking into that aspect of the 'rights-contract' as they too are keen to take advantage (finally) of 'new' technology. There is also considerable pressure from club sponsors to get this sorted.
  13. Its a shame you're not in UK nor in the Coventry pits last night!! You could have given Garrity the benefit of your encouragement and he may have come closer to scoring more than 3 points, including being beaten by both Newman and Ellis!! :-)
  14. Just to be clear, Kyle Newman only agreed to start again as an EDR once the rule was agreed to allow the Tier one reserve to go into the 1-5. (He's made this perfectly clear in a number of public interviews). Had that rule not been agreed , Kyle would have taken the same stance as Garrity - the main difference being that he probably would not have been guaranteed a Poole place!! A place he feels strongly about as its his local club. Nothing wrong with that stance...........and I'm looking forward to Davey Watt's spell at reserve!! :-) ;-)
  15. Yes Good Friday always leaves something for the purist!! Incidentally, the track rode very well this evening - the only crash was Hans' d/q in heat 15 for taking out Woryna's front wheel. (Yes Bees fans, Woryna was in heat 15!!)
  16. Agree with most of that!! Except Ellis didn't have an e/f in heat 2 - he miscounted the laps as he explained when interviewed at the end!! ("4 laps at Lakeside is like 3 at Poole"!!) Also I think Woryna was the star for Bees. I really can't understand the so-called Bees fans writing him off before he'd even ridden a race. The kid will get better given some decent support and encouragement, as I said when he was signed.
  17. Aren't there new starting procedures this year? I'm sure I read that somewhere - something about a 2nd white line behind the start line, which the front wheel must stay within?! (or have I dreamt that?) ps. The KK absence made a couple of the national 'red top' sports pages today!! I hope thats a positive sign for future coverage.
  18. The track was a bit patchy on Monday - made worse with part of the track in shade - but thats one of the problems with daytime racing/practice in the baking sunshine and chilly winds.
  19. r/r gives Garrity a further chance ..................to do what Garrity does!!!!
  20. Check with Kyle Newman - he'll have the answer.
  21. The bruising on KK's shoulder really came out over night - so black and blue - and that was before the physio today!! With only the 2 pieces of silverware available to EL clubs, Poole - and doubtless Coventry too - will be going all out to win the ES. Buzz rides in the 3rd Heat Leader position because his average (from 2014) puts him 3rd in Poole's averages. Similarly Hans who was signed from the EL Heat Leader list (based on 2015 performance) will start as a 2nd string as his average is 4th in Poole's list. Simples.
