  1. Did you miss the 'wink' again old boy, or are you not familiar with emoticons? I see you still can't keep away from the EL threads despite your loathing of the product!!
  2. I hope not PR. Sky have already switched the May fixture from 25th to 23rd May. The meeting sponsor would not be happy!!! Me!! ;-) :-(
  3. I seem to recall Poole haven't been too bad on a soaking wet Brandon track before. ;-)
  4. So I guess the Birmingham/Cradley meeting last night was disappointing for all the fans in attendance too?! 55-35 a shocking reflection on NL speedway!! Newcastle and Peterborough in your favoured PL too - I bet the Diamonds and Panthers fans - and speedway fans in general - are in absolute despair over their results!! (Ps Holder's performances are a deliberate ploy to get him a spell at reserve - nothing to do with him trying to team-ride his partner and being caught in the process. Not for the first time and won't be the last!) Incidentally I hear the Barcelona fans were streaming out of the stadium well before the end of the 8-0 drubbing!!
  5. I'm surprised that SS made no mention of the public apology over the tannoy about the lack of watering. It was stated that the water pressure across the whole of central Poole had dropped earlier in the day and Poole were not allowed to fill or use their bowser!!! Even the hoses weren't producing enough water. The track was slick and whatever holes, bumps, ruts there were - they were in the same places as 4 weeks ago
  6. My point is that streaming of one or two race highlights on social media is no different to the snippets that appear on local/regional news programmes (apart from an obvious difference in quality). I've stated previously that I'm against whole meetings being periscoped, but clubs can be missing a promotional trick with the terms of the Sky deal. Incidentally I am reliably informed that BBC Local TV only need to give Sky a 'caption credit' to use their footage. There is a reciprocal arrangement in place apparently.
  7. EDRs still have to win the races - against other EDRs and 2nd strings - to get their increased averages. They will only go up if someone in the 1-5 is underperforming, protected heats or not, and gets a lower average. You can put that down to so-called 'rigging' or simply selecting a 1-7 that at the moment is more than holding its own against the others - despite losing its only away meeting to date.. Whatever the pros and cons - its the same for everyone and is certainly more likely to favour Leicester and Swindon in the short term. As you are so anti- the EL, but still consider yourself a 'fan', I'm surprised you continue to be so interested in what the EL does?
  8. As others have said, a beautifully sunny day down here today - however quite a strong chilly wind, forecast to get stronger as the day goes on (ferry crossings already cancelled) so it'll be interesting how much slicker the track is tonight and how much watering is done?! I'm sticking to my 52-40 prediction.
  9. If other (terrestrial?) broadcasters are prepared to pay Sky for small snippets of speedway, they must think it provides some decent value and interest for their viewers, otherwise they simply wouldn't include it in their bulletins?!
  10. The things people do to get out of riding at Leicester om 7th May!!!!!!
  11. You've got the new U21 champ as one reserve with the 'electric starting machine' as the other plus the bloke thats got loads more ambition than one of Poole's current reserves - and still you think the Bees might lose?! I really don't understand it!!!!!?????? ;-) ;-)
  12. Strange that its only a few 'fans' that are complaining!! The riders themselves now seem perfectly ok with it.
  13. Freddie Lindgren booked as guest if Bees website previews are to be believed!!
  14. So Lindgren, Kylmakorpi, Cook, Nicholls........or r/r like we did in the ES?
  15. According to Poole's website its nothing to do with whose fixtures were out first or any preference by Chris - Torun get preference because Holder has been contracted to them uninterrupted for longer than Poole (He missed part of the 2014 season)!! MF tried to get the fixture switched but Mick didn't want to play ball. I've started the Bees v Pirates thread now.............!
  16. Great win for Wolves. Not many will get anything from Monmore this season - and I include some of the so-called favourites!!!
  17. I thought this scheme is about allowing the better reserves the chance to test themselves against better riders?! As soon as it happens everyone is up in arms that its wrong. If the EDR can't hack it then it could only be for 2 weeks until the averages are adjusted again.
  18. So no Holder for this one as Torun have 'grandfather' rights as Chris has ridden/contracted uninterrupted for Torun longer than for Poole?! Don't know what sort of facility if any, Poole get for him, (I'm sure others will have a view) so watch this space!!
  19. Ah I see. The averages on the Swindon website were only up to wednesday 13th April. The home defeat on 14th hadn't been included when I looked.
  20. Kerr hasn't moved up yet - I thought his average keeps him at reserve for the time being!! Have Wright and Auty completed 2 Home and 2 Away meetings for their 'new' averages to allow them to be promoted yet!!! You've started something now!!! I would double check that those EDRs have completed their qualifying 2 Home/ 2 Away meetings!! They cannot be promoted into the main team until they have. The latest green sheets on BSPA site are showing the latest EDR averages based only on meetings completed so far
  21. Has Wright done his 2 home and 2 away qualifying meetings as EDR yet?? If not, he should stay at reserve for the time being at least.
