  1. Adam shows his keeness to master small tracks by signing for Eastbourne today!! :-)
  2. As I've said before, I agree that the whole meeting should never be streamed, but the clubs themselves seem very reluctant to use their own websites to show weekly highlights footage, whether it be from Sky, the Track Video Company or a couple of decent periscopers who are given permission?! If it manages to get even a few more paying customers in/back in or even a couple more watching on Sky then I really don't see a problem. Anything that goes on any of the social media platforms is much more likely to reach the younger audiences than anything on TV these days - and may even whet their appetites to attend
  3. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but.... it was fine to allow BET365 to stream whole meetings live last season, How did that arrangement not endanger the Sky contract, yet one or two enthusiastic fans showing a couple of heats from a few meetings to encourage more 'stay at homes' to attend (or at the very least to watch more Sky meetings) is a contractual problem???!!
  4. I'm going to cut and paste this and put it in my 'saves' for future reference - if needed?!
  5. Davey has a lot of 'off-track' stuff going on at the moment which is clearly getting into his head. It won't be long (hopefully) before he gets going!!
  6. As has been stated previously, Kyle wanted to start in the Poole 1-5 and initially just like Garrity refused to go back into the draft. However when the BSPA introduced the Tier 1 opportunity to go into the 1-5, (not both reserves just the Tier 1), Kyle relented. In any case he would not have been guaranteed a starting 1-5 place with Poole - and that was one of his priorities, in addition to getting a Polish place. Incidentally, just to illustrate his keenness to improve, after last night's meeting he jumped in his van with his dad and they drove to Pila - just for practice - and will drive back straight to Lakeside on Friday. Good on him I say.
  7. Oh dear - pages and pages of more moaning then!!!!
  8. Poland may have 'got in first' as far as announcing fixtures to the public are concerned - but EL clubs and riders new about potential clashes before that!!
  9. You beat me to it Steve. In the B'mth/Poole and immediate areas, its all about promoting Poole. Back page plus 2 full pages inside including a great feature on Boycey!1 Super coverage. www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway Stands well back - blue touchpaper lit - incoming!!!!!!
  10. Just re-instate the OAP concessions and all will be well.
  11. I was only answering the criticism that KL had given no reason for the postponement!! They did! I offer no opinion as to the accuracy of it!!
  12. To be fair Starman is one of the Volunteer track staff too!!
  13. Well that's a start - although I find it a bit 'flat'!! Something with a lot more 'oomph' in it with some decent music..........!! The next question is why can't it be personalised to each club? Sky have all the graphics at their disposal (certainly for all EL clubs and at least half a dozen PL teams). Then all that's needed is for the clubs to use them.........!!
  14. Matt rarely attends the BSPA meetings these days - rather leaving them to Gordon Pairman for example!! I'm sure Gordon alluded to this recently. Gordon often peruses these threads so I'm sure he could clarify?! ;-)
  15. They did give a reason - a poor weather forecast!! But i guess everyone has their own 'truth'?!
  16. Why haven't Sky produced a mini (say 60 secs) promo video for clubs to use on their websites??
  17. So the Poole website and fans forum say its Lawson rather than Eddie in for Lakeside?! I wonder who Gerald will prepare the track for??? Rain forecast for Overnight tonight and into Wednesday am but should clear nicely for the evening. 52-38
  18. No confusion. The 2016 rules on www.scbgb.co.uk state that only the Tier 1 reserve (ie the one with the highest starting MA) can be promoted if his average becomes greater than one of the 1-5 after a minimum of 2 home and 2 away league fixtures. Averages to be reassessed after every 2 weeks. The initial proposal to introduce a Draft Track Reserve scheme back in 2013/14 was hampered by the PL clubs refusal to implement it. That's one of the reasons it started off half-cocked in the EL!!
  19. Maybe Buster was tied up with BSPA Chairman business and had no time to prepare the track!!?
  20. Its amazing what can be achieved with a bit of thought during the school holidays!!
  21. All that Sky have done in this instance is to be the first to announce the postponement. The clubs/BSPA should once again have got their PR/Communications sorted out - at least to have a prior arrangement with any media for the news to be announced at the same time.
  22. Is this meeting not affected by the same weather risk as Kings Lynn??
  23. There would need to be loads of financial and contractual differences sorted with Bjarne before he would ever consider coming back!!!!
  24. I thought Allitt was being brought in to help BC with his workload.
