Well that is some twisted logic if ever I've seen some - even for Gavan?! 5.00 if he's a reserve or 4-4.5 if in the 1-5?! Absolute 'losing the plot b/s'!! Kyle's 2017 average will be reassessed in line with every other 2016 EDR to an agreed formula. Whatever it turns out to be, if he is the lowest average rider in Poole's 1-7 or 1-6 then he'll be number 6 or 7 in the line-up!! If Poole decide to bring in other riders with lower (assessed?) averages then he'll be in the 1-5 or he'll look very reluctantly elsewhere for a team place. Highly unlikely as MF has already virtually guaranteed him a Poole team place subject to any team building curveballs thrown up at the AGM. Assuming Chris rides UK - and he says he wants to - then he will ride where he can be reasonably close to his son. If his son is staying put in Ringwood then Chris will be back at Poole - unless there is a 'no GP riders' rule introduced.

Maybe we should ask mods to start a seperate 'Poole 2017' thread as all this talk on here of EDRs and 6-man teams with new race formats makes it seem as though Poole will have some additional influence over the rules and regs for next year?? ;-) ;-)

Such an increase in the number of EL teams is likely to preclude most GP riders from any involvement - partly because they don't want more fixtures unless there is a squad system, but also those teams stepping up are likely to retain their preferred racenight - Thurs/Fris and weekends!!!

Lets not forget Heat 15 which can often feature a Heat leader plus an in-form reserve!!

If ever a '2-point average' was introduced, why oh why would the British top tier of speedway want any rider - british or foreign - in at that level??

But that is not the Polish approach. Its that riders in Polish Ekstraliga can only ride in their 'domestic'* league plus one other!! (* For Aussies, 'domestic' would mean the British EL if they are domiciled here during the season)

How many Ekstraliga teams have submitted their accounts for 2016 year to PZM and been given their financial licence to run next year??

There was an article in last week's Speedway Star that despite being in favour of developing the WSL, the FIM (Armando Castagna) was refusing to sanction the Dubai meeting until the Promoters proved that all the necessary finance and Track safety checks had been confirmed! I haven't translated the above Swedish article yet so not sure exactly what the current position is?!

With that 1-7, and on current averages, Batch would be at reserve!! That's the only position I would be happy to see him in!! Other than that you could be quite close with 4 of them!!!
