  1. They have according to the latest issue (11) of the BSPA averages - Steve W 4.85; Richie W 4.10
  2. Rearranged for next Thursday May 26th apparantly - Swindon's scheduled meeting v Poole having been previously moved to Monday 30th !!
  3. I wonder what the new co-owners paid for their 50% of Swindon Speedway?? A canny move by TR if it turns out any new stadium will eventually have no facility for speedway!!! It'll be 50% of Sweet FA!!
  4. Can't have 2 Danes at reserve. Has to be at least one EDR!!
  5. Kyle Newman is intending to ride on Wednesday against Leicester - weather permitting!!
  6. Not sure why people are confused? Hans, Kyle and Buzz will be heat leaders (1,3,&5); Chris Holder and Bjarne as 2nd strings (although it'll be r/r for BP in Denmark); with Adam and Brady at reserve. Issue 11 of the BSPA averages - effective 16.05.16 - is perfectly clear!!
  7. So its Hans, Buzz and Kyle Newman as 1,3 & 5 with Holder and Bjarne (r/r) as 2nd strings. Ellis and Kurtz at reserve?? (According to issue 11 of the BSPA averages)!
  8. Well I'll have to follow this on updates from the land of BWitcher next week. If the Pirates are in the right mindset, then a narrow away win is a distinct possibility.
  9. Maybe Matt could borrow some from Buster as he always manages to get a decent meeting on........Oh hang on a minute.
  10. Just as a matter of interest - Davey Watt tweeted yesterday questioning why a rider with a higher EL average than him is allowed to double-down when he isn't??! (and he hasn't even got an EL spot at the moment). Wasn't there a rule that stopped EL riders with an average above 6 points from doubling down - or have I imagined that?!
  11. Hans simply said it was different to normal - that was after scoring his paid 14 points last night. Not sure Davey Watt - the previous captain - ever said anything derogatory about the track. He was always blaming himself!
  12. Only repeating what Hans said over the tannoy when interviewed at the end, with Gerald being required at lakeside
  13. Talking to Kyle and his dad tonight and it seems that Kyle was mis-diagnosed initially at his local hospital and as a consequence was not prescribed strong enough anti-biotics. Hence his extreme pain and being taken into B'mth Hospital where he was properly diagnosed, but by which time his 'bleed' had turned into early stage sepsis. Extra strong anti-biotics became the order of the day along with fluids to flush out the infection. When asked when he would be back, the answer was 'when he feels ready'! But I think his target is for the Brit semi final on 15th. As for Chris Holder he was utterly dejected in the interviews at the end. Despite scoring 9 points (would have been paid 12 if not for losing his steel shoe!) he still has issues with his machinery without knowing exactly what is going wrong. Overall there was some great racing tonight on a differently prepared track as Track Curator Gerald was required at Lakeside.
  14. Good news for the Pirates. Kyle Newman released from hospital today having been 'flushed through with anti-biotics and fluids'. Not ready to come back racing yet but will continue his recuperation at home.
  15. Best set the record timer for half an hour extra!!!!
  16. I guess the toss of a coin is similar to the spin of a bottle, when choosing?!
  17. So will the track prep be overseen by Mr Russell on behalf of Sky, allowing Gerald Richter to be at Poole?! ;-)
  18. I assume Mick Horton will be looking to sign up a load of Leicester track specialists for 2017 then?! At least that should keep him away from any Poole assets!!!!! ;-)
  19. Will the new co-owners be introduced on Thursday?? Is M. Bowden the same chap who ran Plymouth a while ago??
  20. I don't share your optimism - we go to Leicester on Monday!!!!!!!!! Glad I shall be away for a week!!
  21. Not sure where you are getting your averages from?? Bjarne still is a 2nd string - as he was at Wolves on Monday, when he rode at 4!! Poole have 'chosen' to operate r/r in the number 2 position, rather than the number 4. That could mean the Holder/Kurtz partnership will be maintained at home!
  22. ...and hopefully scoring more than he did in sweden last night!!!!
  23. So Poole choose to go r/r at 2, clearly hoping that Chris Holder's renowned team riding skills will gain us loads of points 42-48. ps HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARCY!!
