Peterborough V Coventry Challenge 19th Match 12pm
SteveLyric2 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
3 times if they are prepared to travel to Wolves and Poole!! -
Shameful if true - BUT ITS NOT IS IT?! Under 5s are FREE; 5-10s are £4; 11-15s - £7; Students 16 and over - £12.; OAPs/Concessions - £14. Adults - £17. Every club has its own demographics in its own local area and should be able to set its own prices accordingly - it is a business after all. I note some clubs are charging £18 per adult!! I know I shall probably be going out on a limb here, but I don't actually believe that future attendances should be relying on getting kids in Free. Many clubs have and do try this but has it worked consistently - NO. I think the key target audience should be the 18-25 (or even 30) age group - ie those with some spending power who need to be attracted to spend their dosh at the speedway, on a regular basis, through much better use of social media and incentives at colleges and Universities There I've said it now.

Your 2017 Prem Winners.

I don't think this Poole 1-7 will win the Premiership ----- BUT I do think Poole will still win it!! :-) -
I'm not disagreeing with you. I've said in an earlier post that either the rule is wrongly written/interpreted or the average is wrongly listed. Whichever is correct I'm not sure if it affects any other team/rider?( I think at least one other line-up could be challenged based on the wording of a rule in the same section). I guess we'll know when the BSPA finally approve all the announced 1-7s
-
Well it is the Easter School holidays so we'll have to wait and see.
-
I know its already on the Coventry thread but just to confirm Poole v Coventry Challenge on April 19th. Chris Harris to be in place of Kenneth Bjerre.
-
16.2.5 also states that the Team Building MA's are inclusive of any 'allowances'!! Not sure if Matt Ford has noticed - I'll be with him on Wednesday so I'll ask him! I don't have any issue one way or the other - just to see some consistency.
-
If it is Fricke that is announced lets hope that 1-7 is approved by the BSPA, according to their Team Building figures..............!!

Brady and KK for Poole in the Pairs on 31st March.

Premiership Confirmed Signings 2017
SteveLyric2 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
...and you've put Bewley on 4 points - you'll have all the BV faithful complaining!!!!!! -
There is still space for a Main Sponsor's name/logo on the new kevlars. Maybe MF will do a draw amongst the existing sponsors on Wednesday (as Swindon have done and as Poole have also done in the past!)?? Yes Wednesday 15th sees the 5th and final REF (Riders Equipment Fund) winter function being a Fans Forum featuring Matt Ford, Neil Vatcher, Christina Turnbull, Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder. Kyle is usually around for these too!! Should be a good night for £4 (members) or £5 (non-members).

Many congratulations to Doyley on his marriage to Emily yesterday!! :-)

Premiership Confirmed Signings 2017

...and Sedgmen. -
The way speedway is going in Sweden they'll be lucky to have enough teams to make any TV worthwhile - even Eurosport!!
-
HC did in post #204, which is what Starman picked up on!!
-
...but it doesn't actually state that anywhere does it? If I've missed it somewhere please provide the link or the rule otherwise its simply supposition!? Does it affect any other rider.....?
-
At least you have the choice of other local venues with balls!!
-
Yes I thought that too Woz. Its just a bit strange and confusing that any 2.5% reduction is not applied to the 'Team building' figures ie 4.00 in Bewley's case, that everyone is supposed to be using!?
-
Rosco 100% refutes that rumour in this week's Star!!
-
Good article in the Speedy Star confirming the interest in re-opening Oxford and utilising the stadium for Speedway, Greyhounds, Go-Karts plus several indoor activities/clubs inc. boxing, dancing etc etc.
-
The 2017 rules and regs 16.2.3 state that riders having ridden in the NDL will receive a 2.5% reduction in their MA only AFTER they have achieved their first proper Premiership average. For team building purposes the official BSPA list should be used which has Bewley on 4.00
-
What average is Smith on? The other 6 add up to 48.04 according to the BSPA Team Building figures?!
-
I'm sure Sedgy said that in order to have his visa paperwork sorted out by the deadline (Jan 31st I think but maybe Feb 28th?!) he had to have his club sorted out by then as the visa paperwork needed to name the club - otherwise he'd have to return to Oz and miss a whole season.!!
-
...as long as there is someone to buy??!!
