Thoroughly enjoyed the evening at the stadium last night and just watched the SKY coverage this morning. On the 2 incidents of 'hard riding', imo Holder did lift and went wider than he intended but didn't touch Freddie. Similarly, although from my grandstand seat I thought the Howarth move on Ellis was particularly bad - having watched it on TV I'm not so sure. OK he left Adam little room but didn't touch him and was in front. On the 'angry' Freddie issue, maybe he'd just heard in the pits the possibility of who Poole might use as a guest on Monday??!! ;-) PS. All that watch on TV keep going on about how pro-Poole Nigel Pearson is, but I didn't realise Danny King was so 'anti-Poole'?! Clearly brought in to give a bit of balance!!!

Looking Like Poole V Bv..
SteveLyric2 replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If Poole are good enough to reach the final, there will be a new set of averages in place (from October 3rd) to take account of the last league meetings - in Poole's case the last away win at Kings Lynn!! Not sure what difference it may make to the line-ups, but I'm sure someone will have the up-to-date stats before the BSPA issue them later on - in case any guests might be needed? -
Speedway Star Article : 'lindback Adds Up'

I hear the telephone lines between Poole and Cornwall were quite busy late last night!!! -
So as Mr Rising has posted on another thread - full explanation in this week's Star!!

Matt Ford - No Sympathy

Ooh you are a tease Philip.......!! -
Track will be smooth and slick with the possibility of a late shower. With the changes in riding order and Antonio only arriving in the country this afternoon I have a slight feeling of foreboding but I anticipate only a close win for Poole - 49-41 will be the best they can hope for - even with Hans in the pits supporting the boys.. Usual admission prices and gates open 30 minutes earlier at 6pm. Should be a good'un!! May the best team win and meet Belle Vue in the final.

Lakeside Vs Belle Vue, 21/9/16...

Maybe a Polish rider with their own use of a 'small' track to practice on!!? -
Hopefully its Mark Lemon!!!!!! Surely the SCB only get involved if there is a dispute between clubs/riders?! One can only assume there is no dispute and the play-off clubs are simply happy at the prospect of increased attendances!!
-
It makes good financial sense if it puts more on the attendances!!!

The latest set of official averages have KK at 7.91. AJ is 8.45 (+5% 8.87 for a home guest). Of the bottom 4 teams only Doyle and NKI have higher averages than AJ. -
Lets not forget that the riders in the SEC and Pairs have to be good enough in the eyes of the Polish promoters to be invited to take part!! With Woffy part of the Monster Pairs team this year, I'm sure I've read somewhere that BSPA dropped any objection to British 'Stars' taking part as long as the SEC/Pairs dates were announced early enough on the International calendar not to clash with any significant EL fixtures.
-
So hopefully won't need the fire extinguishers this year then!!?

Matt is Kelvin's mate - they are always saying on Sky clubs should aspire to the way Matt runs the Poole business. NB. As for the AGM, didn't the BSPA try to bring it forward to October so that clubs and riders knew the format before heading of to Oz or wherever - but then realised that their constitution didn't allow them to ratify any certain changes until November?! Not sure if they've amended their constitution now, but recent references in the Speedway Star still refer to the AGM being in November!! Having said that, the AGM should only be a 'rubber-stamping exercise' as the promoters always have a series of 'pre-AGM' gatherings to discuss all the likely major decisions!
-
I wasn't comparing him to Hans - no point cos Hans is injured. He may be 8th in the SGP currently but his last 2 GP scores are 6 and 4 points respectively, so hardly at the top of his form!!
-
Now that Lakeside have qualified I don't think Sky's commentary team is a level playing field either.
-
Apart from the re-assessment argument, I'm not sure what all the who ha is about Lindback? Its not as if he's even in decent form at the moment!!
-
Maybe its the new 'transparant', 'there are gonna be some big changes' BSPA Chairman that agreed the re-assessment!!??
-
Just a bit uncalled for!!!!
-
Isn't the Pairs all about Named Sponsors teams? Woffy was part of the Monster team earlier this year!!
-
He called a bellend a bellend on twitter apparantly!!!
