  1. Because Sandhu had another strop at not getting his own way,,,,,,,again!!
  2. Holder and Doyle at Swindon?? That's 18.53 of the team total straight away. Good luck with that
  3. Just to be clear its only the Polish Extraliga that is planning to introduce this (they actually announced it as a possibility 12 months ago!) I can't really understand why though?! Has any rider missed a Polish meeting due to clashes in the EL or Sweden? I doubt it very much. NB. on a related topic Poole have told Hans Andersen that they will not tolerate clashes with his Danish League meetings next season - so he has to sort it out if he wants to utilise the 2nd year of his Poole contract.
  4. As suggested on the Poole forum, Kyle (and Adam) should be Poole's riders in the ELRC on 8th October - assuming its still on?!
  5. Just home from a corporate function. seen the result but none of the coverage yet. Well done to the Wolves - clearly the better team over 2 legs, despite all the rider absences. Should be a good final - but my money is on Belle Vue - as it was at the start of the season. My team Poole not consistently strong enough throughout. Bring on the Blue Riband and 2017's restructured format!
  6. Reports by some on facebook of Poole fans being attacked by Wolves 'fans' on the way to the track!!
  7. Yes it is. The same mistake Mark Lemon made when announcing that King would guest for Fricke - before he realised and deleted the announcement!!
  8. Except that the rule is a BSPA/SCB rule for British speedway not Speedway in any/every country. Poole weren't allowed to permanently replace Andersen until 14th September (the start of the 7-day window) after they had ridden their final 5 league meetings using guests - something that the vast majority of fans complain about. If Andersen's injury had happened one day earlier than the cut-off date for team changes, then the Poole team would have seen 3 maybe even 4 changes!! Poole tried to propose that the day after Hans' injury on 28th August but were turned down by BSPA.
  9. But it has been explained in the Speedway Star!! Whether people agree with the explanation is entirely a different argument (as PR stated before it was made public)!
  10. Judging by the number of posts.threads on this forum alone - I doubt 'total apathy' fits the bill at all!! :-)
  11. I wonder how many pages this thread will go into if Poole have booked Bomber for Bjarne??!!
  12. So Wolves insisting their 2017 rider Harris guests for them on Wednesday, forcing Lakeside to track a clearly unfit AJ?! Shocking one-upmanship!! ;-)

  14. Not sure 'booked to ride' is correct?! He was asked to be on standby and was happy to be so for the chance of any extra rides that came his way - after unexpectedly having his Swindon season cut short!!
  15. Its off - rearranged for Wednesday, Wolves official alternative race day!! No doubt Harris will be guesting for Thorsell ?
  16. So has the threatened rain arrived in Wolverhampton? Is it still on tonight or postponed to next Monday when Bjarne will still likely be missing after the scans on his knee today rule him out for the rest of the EL season - assuming there is a 'rest of the season' after the semis.?!
  17. It doesn't matter - he can't be permanently replaced. Must be a guest under 6.90 or r/r. Although with one more set of averages due out before the final, who knows what his new average will be for October - if Poole get through to the final?!
  18. So Andersen got injured on the August BH Monday - a day after the deadline for any team changes and has not ridden in the EL or anywhere else under the BSPA control since then - that's one whole month!! Therefore Poole had to use guests for the remaining 5 EL meetings prior to the play-offs. They were given permission within the rules for play-off teams to sign a replacement for Andersen on a reassessed average below 7.15 - no rule broken!! Neither Hans nor Poole have broken any rule as Hans' 'long term' injury has meant that his EL season is finished and he has not ridden again in the EL . Having had the stitches removed from his hand on Friday in Poland, the specialist advised that if his hand felt strong enough to grip the handlebars then he could try to race again, which he did today in Poland, where he had his treatment. Scoring 3 points from 4 races and not being considered for his final nominated race, in the Polish 2nd division play-offs. He has subsequently admitted that he has come back far too soon and needs more rest to strengthen his hand.
  19. So Hans gets 3 points from 4 rides and is taken out of his 5th one today in the Polish 2nd tier. Reporting very very sore hand and struggling to grip the handlebars. Just as well his 'long-term' month long EL absence is covered as he's clearly not fit to resume racing at the top EL level.
  20. 'Long term' is clearly being defined by being out for a month and missing 6 meetings. When a decision had to be made about replacing him or not ie during the 7-day window, nothing was certain that he could/might/will/won't return. Hans said himself on Wednesday when interviewed by Clive Fisher that he didn't know when he was likely to return to any racing as he could not grip the bike!!. He flew to Poland - where he has been treated - to see the specialist on Friday last. That ended up with his stitches being taken out and he obviously felt he had enough strength in his hand to give it a go in the Polish 2nd tier play-offs - where he is still clearly struggling.
  21. He's not in the 1-7 and cannot be re-introduced - its against the rules!!
