  1. I think this new Polish rule will affect riders like NKI who has to ride some meetings (not all) in his domestic league but who has also contracted to Sweden and the top league inPoland. It will also affect the likes of Nicki Pedersen and Peter Kildemand - assuming both have a top league place in Poland. Riders such as Andersen, B.Pedersen and others who only have a Polish 2nd division place shouldn't be particularly affected, if the want to ride UK/.
  2. Depends on the points limit and what Darcy and Crumpie advise!!
  3. Just to be clear - as there seems doubt on other forums/social media - is the latest proposed rule from the Poles that riders can ride in their 'home or domestic' league plus 2 others? Along with giving priority to Ekstraliga fixtures? Can somebody kindly clarify, cos riders like Woffy clearly have a different understanding that riders can only do Polish Ekstraliga plus 1 other - and hence he has given that as the reason he can't ride in the UK next year?! Other riders such as Holder - already signed for Poland and Sweden - clearly see themselves still racing in the British EL!?
  4. Very interesting article in SS this week suggesting the Swedish Speedway is up the proverbial 'financial $#!t creek'!!
  5. So what average is Skornicki going to come back on? And for whom??
  6. Wow, a Scottish Newspaper against Brexit!! Who would've thought it?!!
  7. Those riders from 'non-EU' Overseas countries who require visas to ride in the UK, will have to have agreed their 'deal' with a club for more than just one season - 2 or 3 years in some cases - so in effect those clubs do have some control over where riders can ride, unless the rider submits a Visa re-application or amendment with the club's blessing.
  8. SCB has undoubtedly done a good job here, (I'd hate to presume what his personal life is like?) but as can already be seen from a few of the other posts, anyone can make a case for an individual rider to have a higher or lower average due to personal racing issues eg. injuries or missing fixtures due to other meetings etc. But its a 'good starter for ten'.
  9. You never know Poole could end up with both - although I doubt Matt will be convinced based on just one meeting in October!!
  10. I'm surprised the elected BSPA MC and SCB haven't featured in these discussions yet?!
  11. Yeah I think Wayne Rooney should be made to play for club and country. Make him play through any drop in form. After all its only the team and fans that are likely to suffer!!!! FFS.
  12. Why?? The deal is/was a 2 year deal to the end of December 2016. Until we know if a new deal is in place then any assets 'owned' by Rick Frost will presumably remain his until such time as he sells them on or loans them to whoever wants them.
  13. Just keep checking on every/any Poole-related topic and you'll find similar posts from Gavan. He just can't keep away. ;-)
  14. 'Markets hate uncertainty' - but the FTSE is nudging 7100 today - the highest for some considerable time.
  15. Yes but Readypower was only a 2-year sponsorship deal!!
  16. All this talk about Poole having the use of the Rick Frost assets, we don't even know if Readypower are sponsoring next year yet??!
  17. Would you see a price differential between the 'Elite' fixtures and the 'PL' meetings?
  18. Milik confirmed as a 2017 target by Matt Ford today, although continental commitments may not make it possible. 5.67 from KL last season makes it a decent average.
  19. Good to read that over 50 random drug/alcohol tests have been carried out in the last month or so - with not a single positive result!! SCB Co-ordinator Neil Vatcher is keen for the regular testing to continue throughout the seasons.
  20. It surely depends on which set of accounts you are shown?! ;-) Not forgetting what type/size of car the promoter drives!
  21. Buster's comments at the fans forum in Torun last weekend (as reported in the Speedway Star) suggest 'a further step backwards before moving forward' as part of (another) new 5-year plan!! He admitted there had to be many changes but 'rather like Rome, everything couldn't be built in a day'! With the 5 year plan, the 'trick' - and not a simple one - is to persuade a consensus of fellow promoters on board. 'The last General Council meeting, apparantly, was not aparticularly pleasant affair and harmony was not a word that anyone present would likely use to describe it'! 'Some want to see Elite League racing on two set nights, Monday and Wednesday, others especially those not in total control of their stadiums, say that isn't practical.' I'd love to be a fly on the wall in Broxbourne.
  22. Fair play to Peter Adams in his summing up. Belle Vue and Poole were the 2 best teams over the season, but Wolves were the best in October. Job Done.
