  1. Issue 30 Column C are likely to be the 'final' figures with the exception of KL and Leicester's remaining EL fixture. The EL play-off meetings do not count towards the official averages.
  2. 'Courageous and drastic surgery can revive the flagging patient' usually means a very long period of recuperation and rehabilitation rather than fully regaining health and fitness in order to return to work immediately!!
  3. I have no issue with any reassessed average under 5 for Kyle Newman, as long as the methodology or calculation is transparent for all EDRs.!! eg 90% of his final EL average would put him on 4.97.
  4. Starke and Batch haven't got their final or reassessed EDR averages yet!
  5. Don't forget most of your riders haven't got their final averages yet!!!
  6. If the PL to EL conversion is still 0.6 then Jack Holder should come in on 4.30 or thereabouts, which would probably put him at reserve (The EDR system will NOT be in place). Assuming 2016 EDR's are reassessed at say 80% of their final EL average then that would put Newman at around 4.42. That would mean that Kyle Newman would be the other reserve with the 1-5 looking something like:- C.Holder 8.95 (or KK 7.91); B.Kurtz 6.44 (or Milik 5.67); C.Harris 6.58; K. Gomolski 5.51; H.Andersen 7.15 Eddie Kennett's average of 7.16 would make him too much of a risk imo. Unless they have to lose a few points from the team-building points limit, Although the KK option with BK would give a team points total of 42.31. (KK with Milik would be 41.54 and would also meet any 'No GP riders' ruling?)
  7. Matt's programme notes from last night said Newman and probably Jack Holder are the only riders he's prepared to name for 2017 at the moment. I think you've misunderstood what the Poles are attempting to do?! Their proposed rule is that riders in the Polish Ekstraliga can only ride in 2 other leagues - one of which would be the rider's 'domestic' league. Riders like Andersen don't have an Ekstraligs place so it doesn't apply. Aussie riders for example would undoubtedly list the EL as their 'domestic' league.
  8. I think you may have slightly mis-read the job card - the last word was 'up' not 'in'!!
  9. I think subject to the points limit, Kacper (5.51 unless he's reassessed downwards having missed a whole season?) was 'promised' a team place in 2017 - not that that probably holds any water at all!!
  10. Don't disagree with the principle of your last sentence BUT if you get one fan from all 33 clubs in a room you would get at least 33 different versions of what fans want - many of which will be in direct contradiction of others!!
  11. I think this new Polish rule will affect riders like NKI who has to ride some meetings (not all) in his domestic league but who has also contracted to Sweden and the top league inPoland. It will also affect the likes of Nicki Pedersen and Peter Kildemand - assuming both have a top league place in Poland. Riders such as Andersen, B.Pedersen and others who only have a Polish 2nd division place shouldn't be particularly affected, if the want to ride UK/.
  12. Depends on the points limit and what Darcy and Crumpie advise!!
  13. Just to be clear - as there seems doubt on other forums/social media - is the latest proposed rule from the Poles that riders can ride in their 'home or domestic' league plus 2 others? Along with giving priority to Ekstraliga fixtures? Can somebody kindly clarify, cos riders like Woffy clearly have a different understanding that riders can only do Polish Ekstraliga plus 1 other - and hence he has given that as the reason he can't ride in the UK next year?! Other riders such as Holder - already signed for Poland and Sweden - clearly see themselves still racing in the British EL!?
  14. Very interesting article in SS this week suggesting the Swedish Speedway is up the proverbial 'financial $#!t creek'!!
  15. So what average is Skornicki going to come back on? And for whom??
  16. Wow, a Scottish Newspaper against Brexit!! Who would've thought it?!!
  17. Kenneth Bjerre also out - although he wasn't even in the original line-up!!! Eddie Kennett and Steve Worrall come in!
  18. Those riders from 'non-EU' Overseas countries who require visas to ride in the UK, will have to have agreed their 'deal' with a club for more than just one season - 2 or 3 years in some cases - so in effect those clubs do have some control over where riders can ride, unless the rider submits a Visa re-application or amendment with the club's blessing.
  19. SCB has undoubtedly done a good job here, (I'd hate to presume what his personal life is like?) but as can already be seen from a few of the other posts, anyone can make a case for an individual rider to have a higher or lower average due to personal racing issues eg. injuries or missing fixtures due to other meetings etc. But its a 'good starter for ten'.
  20. Hans has put most of his 2016 equipment up for sale too. Its what tends to happen with a 'season-ending' injury!!! ;-) :-)
  21. You never know Poole could end up with both - although I doubt Matt will be convinced based on just one meeting in October!!
  22. I'm surprised the elected BSPA MC and SCB haven't featured in these discussions yet?!
  23. Yeah I think Wayne Rooney should be made to play for club and country. Make him play through any drop in form. After all its only the team and fans that are likely to suffer!!!! FFS.
