Finally the message seems to be sinking in!! Can you point me in the direction of the official documented statement Gav - I don't seem to be able to find it?!
-
I'm just amazed that 'EDRs' feature on a 2017 thread?!
-
DH won't 'stand up' and explain as he's still suspended and not allowed anywhere near the speedway side of the stadium!!

Polish Ekstraliga Is Flexing Its Muscles
SteveLyric2 replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
How many Ekstraliga teams have submitted their accounts for 2016 year to PZM and been given their financial licence to run next year?? -
There was an article in last week's Speedway Star that despite being in favour of developing the WSL, the FIM (Armando Castagna) was refusing to sanction the Dubai meeting until the Promoters proved that all the necessary finance and Track safety checks had been confirmed! I haven't translated the above Swedish article yet so not sure exactly what the current position is?!
-
With that 1-7, and on current averages, Batch would be at reserve!! That's the only position I would be happy to see him in!! Other than that you could be quite close with 4 of them!!!

Not many to ride on a Saturday night either!!!

Not allowed to swear on this forum am I? Forum rules and all that..........!! I see my plea has not made a whole lot of difference. By the way, nice article in today's local about Adam Ellis wanting to come back to Poole in 2017. Seems Jon Cook is ok with it?! http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway

Can we please stop all this EDR carp on this Poole 2017 thread - its totally irrelevant!! Thanks. :-) ;-)

What Would You Like From The Agm
SteveLyric2 replied to kingbee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
'Promising, inexperienced young British riders in the draft' (if there is one?) should be in the PL. The EL or whatever it might be called in the future is not the place for 'promising, inexperienced riders'!! If the EL is to have any EDRs then it should be limited to just one (as should have been the case when it was introduced) who has had at least two seasons in the PL/NL and who would start at reserve and only be promoted to a 2nd string if proved good enough!! Once the EDR has proved himself capable over 2 EL seasons, he should only then be considered for a permanent EL 1-5 position. If not good enough then he goes back to PL. -
Its different this year. Its Tues 1st to Thursday 3rd November as far as I've been told. And its at the National Speedway Museum, Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, Herts.

Which Average Is Used For Team Building?
SteveLyric2 replied to BurntFaceMan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Issue 30 Column C are likely to be the 'final' figures with the exception of KL and Leicester's remaining EL fixture. The EL play-off meetings do not count towards the official averages. -

What Would You Like From The Agm
SteveLyric2 replied to kingbee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
'Courageous and drastic surgery can revive the flagging patient' usually means a very long period of recuperation and rehabilitation rather than fully regaining health and fitness in order to return to work immediately!! -
I have no issue with any reassessed average under 5 for Kyle Newman, as long as the methodology or calculation is transparent for all EDRs.!! eg 90% of his final EL average would put him on 4.97.
-
Starke and Batch haven't got their final or reassessed EDR averages yet!

King's Lynn Stars 2017
SteveLyric2 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don't forget most of your riders haven't got their final averages yet!!! -
If the PL to EL conversion is still 0.6 then Jack Holder should come in on 4.30 or thereabouts, which would probably put him at reserve (The EDR system will NOT be in place). Assuming 2016 EDR's are reassessed at say 80% of their final EL average then that would put Newman at around 4.42. That would mean that Kyle Newman would be the other reserve with the 1-5 looking something like:- C.Holder 8.95 (or KK 7.91); B.Kurtz 6.44 (or Milik 5.67); C.Harris 6.58; K. Gomolski 5.51; H.Andersen 7.15 Eddie Kennett's average of 7.16 would make him too much of a risk imo. Unless they have to lose a few points from the team-building points limit, Although the KK option with BK would give a team points total of 42.31. (KK with Milik would be 41.54 and would also meet any 'No GP riders' ruling?)
-
Matt's programme notes from last night said Newman and probably Jack Holder are the only riders he's prepared to name for 2017 at the moment. I think you've misunderstood what the Poles are attempting to do?! Their proposed rule is that riders in the Polish Ekstraliga can only ride in 2 other leagues - one of which would be the rider's 'domestic' league. Riders like Andersen don't have an Ekstraligs place so it doesn't apply. Aussie riders for example would undoubtedly list the EL as their 'domestic' league.
-
I think you may have slightly mis-read the job card - the last word was 'up' not 'in'!!
-
I think subject to the points limit, Kacper (5.51 unless he's reassessed downwards having missed a whole season?) was 'promised' a team place in 2017 - not that that probably holds any water at all!!

Time To Stand Up To The Polish Clubs ?
SteveLyric2 replied to Countershaftcounter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think this new Polish rule will affect riders like NKI who has to ride some meetings (not all) in his domestic league but who has also contracted to Sweden and the top league inPoland. It will also affect the likes of Nicki Pedersen and Peter Kildemand - assuming both have a top league place in Poland. Riders such as Andersen, B.Pedersen and others who only have a Polish 2nd division place shouldn't be particularly affected, if the want to ride UK/.
