As a Darcy Ward protege on his home Darcy Ward North Brisbane track, he was expected to do OK. He is also the wildcard in the first round of the Aussie Championships so will be interesting to see how he does then.
-
'the force is strong with this one!'
-
From the BSPA AGM statement: 'All Premiership and Championship clubs have signed up to the new three-tier structure following discussions at this week’s AGM. This will involve each club either competing in the National Development League; or staging events in a new National Individual series; or taking part in a Youth programme to be run in second halves following senior meetings, and it is now compulsory for each club to take one of those options'. Merry Christmas.
-
It doesn't have to be pre or post meeting nor to run an NDL team. Poole can choose to host one or more rounds of the new 'GP-style' individual championship for NDL level riders which Neil Vatcher will be announcing!
-
Correct.
-
The Fords always have 2or 3 'pencilled' teams. One was definitely Lawson, Cook, Cook, Rowe, Newman, Hagon, Perry = 37.81
-
Nothing to do with knowledge of other teams. Darcy made it very clear - publicly- that his protégé would be Workington-bound when he came over., due to Tate's style and Aussie experience suiting the Worky track better. Also nothing to do with Brennan becoming unexpectedly available after his rumoured absence from Championship ship racing in 2024. Neither were in Poole's original 1-7!
-
Not at all. 100% correct. Agreement made in late August.
-
Where does it say he'll be at 2? Just an assumption by some at this stage. However if he is a good starter then he could be 'protected' by the Rocketman (bonus king)?
-
Nothing to do with points limit. Darcy, Tate and Worky had a verbal agreement that Tate would join Worky as and when the opportunity arose. Hence Poole not including him in any of their possible line-ups! Simples.
-
Many of us knew Tate had been recommended to Worky when Darcy was here in the summer so his signing for you came as no surprise even if some were still hopefull. I'm sure you'll enjoy his racing.

'Thomsen was one of the top scorers in this season's Danish 2nd Division' is the quote from Danny Ford in the press article.
-
Thomsen!
-
This seasons scores in the Danish 2nd division would seem to suggest otherwise. He seems to have.matured and improved!
-
At least we have a 1-7 to get behind. The amount of time you spend on a Poole topic suggests you've given up trying to save your own?
-
If Nathan's real 3.00 average is actually a rounded-up 2.99 then the 2.5% reduction makes 2.92 correct.
-
How many of those scores were on never-seen-before away tracks in 2019?
-
OK, so no Joe T then, but I think that makes the team weaker with Zach as 3rd heat leader. I think there is more improvement in Zach and Toby as 2nd strings than Anders and Kyle. Just my opinion.
-
I hear you. So what would your 1-7 be?
-
So you wanted Anders, Kyle and Joe in a 38 point team? Who else would you include with that limit?
-
Joe T wasn't an option as he'd agreed to join Plymouth with his brother. Tobias' recent scores in the Danish 2nd tier show he has improved a lot. The Fords have a great record of putting together teams of riders that can all improve their averages. If Rowe and Newman were included as 2nd strings with Zach Cook as 3rd heat leader then I'm not sure the improvement would be there?!
