I thought you reported earlier that both Holders had signed and that Holder, Doyle and NKI were having their averages capped at 12.00?! If there is any truth in the latter then I think it will only apply to Holder and Doyle as NKI is unlikely to ride in UK as he has already committed to 3 other leagues - Poland, Sweden and his domestic league Denmark. (That's also why I think KL will retain Lambert!)

All you need to do now is to get Kyle Newman's average right!! Its 6.31 for 2017!! (That's his final PL Plymouth average.)
-
It has been stated elsewhere that the Sky deal 'insists' on there being a 'top league'!!
-
Similarly what would Sheffield have done? Very surprised SCB hasn't yet produced his definitive and accurate averages list?! Then we could see i) if the BSPA is going to get their list correct, and ii) fans could start some serious imaginary team building!!

Premiership Confirmed Signings 2017
SteveLyric2 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As was mentioned on SGB twitter yesterday 'Billy Blogs' would ride for the team or league for which he's an asset. That presumes that doubling up/down will still be allowed?! -
Hope you keep Garrity on 8.55 too!! ;-)
-
As with most immediate post-AGM statements, the 'devil is in the detail' of what is NOT mentioned!! Any changes to assessed foreign riders? Will the 'team-building' points limits change after the first set of averages? and if so to what? Is there any change to the doubling-up rule and criteria?
-
Kurtz didn't do enough 2016 PL meetings. His 2017 average will be his converted EL average of 9.02
-
Brady didn't ride enough PL meetings in 2016 to get an average!! ;-)
-
The usual anomalies and grey areas 'between the lines' of the official statement!! The 'increased by 1.4' presumes it is multiplied by 1.4 which as others have already pointed out will make team building to a 50 point limit very challenging!! Maybe its just adding 1-4 points to their EL average?! On a lighter note I'm just waiting for Gavan's post about 'not using PL averages'!! :-) ps. Any reason why there was no Poole representation in the official BSPA 'Team Photos'?? Maybe MF didn't attend?!

Wildcards 2017.....
SteveLyric2 replied to Panthers89's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Does that mean Nicki will be moving away from Monaco now?? -
??? maybe once!! Correct though ain't it?!

Wherever Kyle rides in the Poole 1-7 next year is relevant to this thread. All these references to other 2015/16 EDRs is absolutely irrelevant to Poole 2017 as at best (or worst) the EDR system will be dropped or dramatically changed to allow only one per EL team. And quite right too - who wants to see more 'wobblers' (no disrespect intended) in the EL? Their place is in the NL/PL until they are proved competent for the top league. You see what you've done now - even got me on a non-Poole 2017 topic.

I think GH actually followed the rule to the letter. He made himself 'ineligible for the remainder of the series' (ie the rest of the final meeting of the series) and at the end was rightly crowned World Champion as he was not 'ineligible' for all the preceding rounds of the Championship during which he accrued more points than any other rider!!

So I log on to the BSF for the first time today and the first post I see is Gavan on a Poole thread!1 Quel Surprise!! With reference to the apparent obsession with Kyle Newman that some seem to have, as SS has said, aside from any mechanical/set-up issues, he had a bad injury and a life-threatening illness (sepsis in the groin) which would stop any speedway rider in their tracks (sorry), so it might just be a tad understandable why his natural progress may have stalled a little. But his end of season performances when he was almost back to full fitness and his confidence in his machinery was clear for ALL to see, show that there is more to come. As for his average, as long as it is determined using exactly the same method as all other 2016 EDRs then I don't give a flying fig what average he comes in on for Poole in 2017. As I've already stated, the team building points limit and who MF chooses to recruit for next season's 1-7 will dictate Kyle's starting position in the team - if he's the lowest averaged rider then he'll be in the number 6 or 7 position. If he isn't he won't be - he'll be in the 1-5. Simples.

How does revoking a promoter's licence treat supporters fairly exactly?

AGM is a 3-day meeting this year and its midweek - November 1st-3rd in Broxbourne at the National Speedway Museum.. Pre-AGM meetings are a regular thing, believe it or not, when all things are on the table and up for discussion. Usually there is a consensus of changes which Promoters are asked to take away and consider prior to the AGM. Buster is the new Chairman so it remains to be seen how 'strict' he is as to how the 3-day AGM runs. In the past there has been time for the EL and PL clubs to have their own separate meetings before coming back to the AGM table. Any AGM Agenda should usually only be a 'rubber-stamping' exercise with maybe only one or two 'extra' items added, but judging by the amount of dis-harmony referred to in the SS and elsewhere at the pre-meetings then I'm certain it won't be an easy, smooth meeting with 100% agreement.

There aren't enough decent Brit U23s for the EL 6 & 7 positions. One maybe - as long as the PL and NL play its part in bringing the young Brits on. But definitely worth a thread of its own rather than on Poole 2017?!
-
Well that is some twisted logic if ever I've seen some - even for Gavan?! 5.00 if he's a reserve or 4-4.5 if in the 1-5?! Absolute 'losing the plot b/s'!! Kyle's 2017 average will be reassessed in line with every other 2016 EDR to an agreed formula. Whatever it turns out to be, if he is the lowest average rider in Poole's 1-7 or 1-6 then he'll be number 6 or 7 in the line-up!! If Poole decide to bring in other riders with lower (assessed?) averages then he'll be in the 1-5 or he'll look very reluctantly elsewhere for a team place. Highly unlikely as MF has already virtually guaranteed him a Poole team place subject to any team building curveballs thrown up at the AGM. Assuming Chris rides UK - and he says he wants to - then he will ride where he can be reasonably close to his son. If his son is staying put in Ringwood then Chris will be back at Poole - unless there is a 'no GP riders' rule introduced.
