  1. Harris is still up for debate. Why would Kennett a Rye asset and riding for them this season be allowed to join another club? Similarly Lambert at Kings Lynn, with likely no NKI, why would Buster allow him to go?! (Aside from the argument that riders will ride where they want!!)
  2. I really do despair at some of the mass debaters!!!
  3. Darcy will be over in Poole later in the year when it warms up to keep a watchful eye on Brady and Jack. He had already made it known that he would probably not be over for the Foundation meeting - which is to raise money for other injured sports people, not Darcy himself - because of the likelihood the british weather would be too cold for him.
  4. What? well it didn't work for Kings Lynn or Poole last season!! A good winning team needs every rider to contribute to the team performance.
  5. Name the six and which clubs they are doubling with!!!
  6. All of the last dozen or so posts are totally irrelevant to the Somerset thread!!!
  7. A British team competing in the Polish league???? If you want to make a small fortune out of speedway - you have to start with a large one!!!
  8. I imagine the decision was made because Buster is BSPA Chairman!!!!! No point in being 'top man' if you can't influence some decisions to your advantage!! ;-) ;-)
  9. Missed by many within the Holder announcement today - Poole's first team meetings will be in the 'Premiership'(?)Shield against Wolves. At Wolves on Monday 27th March and at home two days later on 29th!!
  10. Maybe we can hope for a bit more 'meat on the bones' in this week's Speedway Star?! Although I'm fairly sure after previous AGMs the promoters have had a 2-3 week window to fully consider all the proposed new rules and consider any major issues - ie look at a number of scenarios that they couldn't do in depth at the 2-day AGM and reconsider those proposals before they are rubberstamped by the MC and SCB?!
  11. 'negotiations with prospective new promoters are currently taking place!' - probably.
  12. So whether it remains the same or is reduced to say 43, after riders have attained 'real' averages, then any replacement rider - especially any new or previous foreign rider - would come in on their previous actual average - assessed or 'real' rather than inflated?!
  13. 'Kyle to Swindon' refuted by Piratecast administrators and others!!
  14. Just to be clear Matt Ford has said its 'unlikely' that Adam Ellis can be fitted in to Poole's 1-7 (despite him arguing that Adam's average should be calculated differently at the AGM due to him not riding PL. One EL club argued vociferously against it - I wonder who that was??). Lets just wait and see. You never know whoever the new main team sponsor is may well be an Ellis fan!!!?? Incidentally, the reason Gomolski appears in some suggested Poole line-ups is because he was 'promised' a 2017 team place at the end of the 2015 season when he effectively won the play-off final!!
  15. Has there been anything official about what the Prem team building limit will be after the first set of rider averages (May 1st??)
  16. The Polish 'rule' for Extraliga riders is a max of 3 leagues - Poland plus a rider's domestic league plus one other - with Polish fixtures including rearranged meetings always taking priority!! For Aussie riders based for the season in UK then the UK leagues would be their 'domestic' league.
  17. Not that I'm attempting to read MF's mind but I guess Adam Ellis would be a heat leader in a number of Poole suggested 1-7s - hence the unfortunate decision not to be able to fit him in!!
  18. I don't see how NKI can/will race in UK as if the Poles carry out their threat of limiting riders to only 3 leagues then NKI has already committed to Denmark, Sweden and Poland. As for Adam Ellis, I don't think his inflated average is wrong - according to his ability or potential - its just that he's been treated differently to ALL the other EDRs because he rode NL rather than PL. I really don't see why an EL/NL conversion rate couldn't be used?! Anyway at the moment he cannot be fitted in to whatever Poole's 1-7 will be and he hasn't received a single offer from any other Premiership club. Only one offer from a Championship club too. He's already got a team spot in Poland and is now actively looking to other European leagues for a job (He raced a few in Denmark last year) Such a shame that he's showing much more gumption than others to seek places abroad when his own domestic authority make it so difficult for him in this country. Anyway nuff said - others will disagree and that's their prerogative.
  19. Can't find anywhere that officially states a team can only have a max of 2 double-uppers?! Can anyone point me in the right direction for the official confirmation.
  20. You'll be lucky to get Chris holder on 12.01. He's 12.53 (from an 8.95 final EL average) Why is the SpeedwayGB twitter - as it appears on the main page of the SGB/BSPA website - 'unofficial'?? If its 'unofficial then so is the official post-AGM statement from the same source!!! So maybe we shouldn't believe anything that's appeared so far as its all just unofficial conjecture - apparently!!?
  21. The minimum average for a foreign rider is now 4.00 apparently. (SGB twitter)
  22. I think that all the Aussie boys - but in particular Watt, Schlein and Batchelor - should be contesting every meeting in Oz over the winter - especially the Aussie Championships. Their performances will give a good indication as to whether they have overcome any injuries and/or off-track pressures from this past season.
  23. I think people need to realise that the payback to MCC is for the whole arena facility - not just speedway!! Yes I know that BV took on the whole responsibility but now it would be in MCC's interest to appoint a new Arena management specialist with the BSPA negotiating a lease agreement at a realistic price for the speedway facilities. Even the latter could be split into two parts - one to operate League speedway and another to operate the larger national/international speedway events! PS. SGB reporting Buster Chapman 'travelling the UK' this week to negotiate the Belle Vue and Leicester situations!!
  24. Check my post Steve0 if its not too much for you. I didn't include Ellis in my 1-5 for the reasons given!! Do try to keep up.
