All teams have firstly to be announced by their club and then submitted to and approved by the BSPA before they appear as the official line-ups. - with rider averages. Its the same every year not just with the changes for 2017.

Neither of the above. When the possibility cropped up a month or so ago when the draft fixtures came out to clubs, it was being offered to potential sponsors. I don't know if one has been secured and therefore whether it will go ahead at Poole?!

So is George Carswell still involved as the 'official' promoter or was he part of one of the 'unapproved' consortia?

I would imagine the BSPA know exactly what is going on. They know the management structure and promoter - BUT cannot reveal anything publicly until Manchester Council's legal boys have carried out all their required checks and agreed various issues within the new agreement!! Riders - especially those that have been spoken to - have been instructed not to say anything or give any hints until the Council approval has been received hopefully within the next few days.

£10k a month for loos is more than acceptable with all the $#!t and p!$$ing about that was going on.............................!!

Not sure about 'effortless' but great acknowledgement nevertheless - as well as the pic on the website. Centre green presenter Nij also mentioned as one of the committee, as well as presenting the REF quiznights through the winter months - the next one of which is Wednesday 15th February!!

The Sun usually print the daily fixtures and results during the season as does the Mail. Respected speedway Journos like Peter Oakes and the Lannings (and probably others too) also manage to get regular 'snippet' news in.

Not Poole. Final tickets were available - especially after buying all those bricks!!
