Speedway will always continue in one form or another - even if it becomes more of a semi-professional sport again! Anyone who still truly believes that it is a 'family sport' and should continue to be promoted as such needs their head examined in my opinion!! Comments as above like 'it'd be worth going just to watch Garrity and Barker' are hardly 'family-friendly' and rightly so. Much more should and could be made of the thrills and spills, grudges between teams and riders etc etc.

How and why is Lasse Bjerre a Poole asset?? Was it some sort of under the table swap deal? If so with whom?

I'm pretty sure Kyle (Newman not Howarth!) will be announced early this week as Kyle usually attends Poole's REF quiz nights - the first of which is on Wednesday 7th!! Lol. Someone clearly stayed up way past their bedtime!!

One of the difficulties in asking fans what they want - whether it is the sports administrators or a magazine doing the asking - is that you always get a myriad of differing answers - as this forum regularly demonstrates, whatever the topic!! As far as this thread is concerned I look forward to my subscription copy arriving each week and particularly enjoy the 'behind the scenes' articles whether based on leagues or the GPs. However I can't let this topic pass without mentioning again the glaring error by the Star's Ipswich reporter who in two separate articles this week was convinced the Witches had signed Kyle Howarth rather than Kyle Newman!!

I think theres always been some sort of notice about photography at most tracks. I know the BSPA instructed tracks to issue 'upgraded' notices in 2016 especially in respect of video footage (periscope etc) to stop 'live' streaming as it contravenes the TV agreement with Sky. At Poole there have been new notices displayed at the turnstiles, in side the stadium, in the programme and regular announcements made by the centre green presenter. Having said all that I think the BSPA and many tracks are missing a trick at not displaying 'video highlights' regularly on club websites and official club social media platforms (whether it Sky footage or not?!) as it could attract new or lapsed fans.

Talk is for Swindon v Poole on Easter Sunday (tbc)!!! Also MF admits the Danish rider he was chasing was Mikkel Michelsen who had to turn Poole down due to too many fixture clashes - but MM still wants to race in UK!! Martin Vaculik also a target (again!) but his SGP qualification has ruled him out too.

Easter Sunday fixtures will be especially interesting when they are published!!
