  1. Fixtures should be available to the public from Tuesday onwards. I can confirm that the home 'B' fixture v Somerset is on Weds 26th July. (unless its selected and changed by Sky?!) ;-)
  2. Buster also said they could start their season a bit later if need be or could ride their first few fixtures elsewhere!! ps. The Colin Pratt video referred to above is now on the Swindon website as well as facebook. (I hope they don't use it/him to attract more fans!!)
  3. 4 mini videos to watch now on facebook although there didn't seem to be enough 'deep and searching' questions!!
  4. Which may well be at Poole, so don't expect him to perform that well will you?!
  5. So clearly an attempt to resolve their technical issues by recording a 7min 54 sec video which is now on facebook. However it stops in mid-question so maybe there will be several 7minute clips to follow?! Buster's had an email from Coventry but cannot reveal its contents before discussing with other members of the MC and others 'in speedway'!!
  6. Why would any promoter least of all Horton sign a lease for a facilty that has none of the basics for running speedway, without some sort of 'guarantee' that the facilities (or cash equivalent) are made available.
  7. Well its all gone so well so far!! 23 seconds of Nigel Pearson's voice (which can be enough for some people) and then nothing!!! So the top man in our sport's association plus a full time media specialist and we still can't get it right. Why didn't they use someone who's done it successfully before - like the Glasgow boys or the Piratecast team!!??
  8. That's exactly what Dave Darcy has stated in both last week's and this week's Speedway Star!! Not long to wait now with tomorrow being the deadline for Coventry!!
  9. When Lemo was on the phone to Poole fans at their Game Show quiz night last week (It was the 'Phone a friend' round), he sounded pretty confident - without being able to say too much at the time!! ;-)
  10. All change at the top as you suggest - but retaining some of the current/old management team - or so I'm told.
  11. I wonder how close the above post might be??!!
  12. Just popped into the Polish 2017 thread to check the latest and see we are discussing Malilla and the weather!! Weird!!
  13. All the clubs in the top 2 leagues have had their draft fixtures for a few weeks now - in order to check rider availability/clashes etc and suggest fixture changes. End Jan was always stated as when the fixtures would be made public - obviously the Coventry situation has complicated it even though BV and Leicester fixtures were included in the draft.
  14. Great news for BV fans and speedway fans generally. Never in doubt imo. Just wait and see who's in charge!? :-)
  15. I meant after the series was complete!! You know that's when the final positions are completed. BTW I haven't said anything about expecting Tungate to finish above, below or equal to Kurtz - merely that he's a Premiership Number 1.
  16. Very surprised Gavan hasn't been on here going on about how Tungate 'struggled' in the Aussie Champs, finishing 8th out of 16!! Shocking performance for a Premiership Number 1 who also once rode for Poole - but not a word from Gav!!? How very strange he is. ;-)
  17. Bisson! :-) Enjoyed several visits to Rye House back in the mid/late 80's. Gary Allan, Boycie, Langdons, Schoie, Kevin Smart, Ali Stevens - good times.
  18. As I stated previously, my objection to the way you described Brady's performances was the use of the word 'struggling'! Below par maybe - not as good as he would have expected maybe - but in a 4-round series I don't consider any rider that reached 2 B finals (2nd and 3rd inc an engine failure) and won 1 A final to be 'struggling', anymore than finishing 7th out of 16 is 'struggling'!! Thank you for your final praise of Brady - albeit with the usual 'sting in the tail' comment. Incidentally in catching up on all the exchanges on here since I was last on yesterday morning, I reckon your family must be regretting all the family time they are missing out on through you being on here so much!!
  19. I see the 'below-par' and 'struggling' Brady Kurtz makes the A final with 13 points!! lol
  20. No wonder speedway is in such a state. So called 'fans' including many Coventry fans have been clamouring for a statement. Then as soon as they get one they bad-mouth it!! As for the poster that started the rider rumour - the so-called jchapman - another load of b/s from his sauces, who you would have thought would be reliable from his so-called previous contacts?! if anyone wants further proof that this is yet another alias simply stirring the proverbial..................?!
  21. Leicester have made it clear in the Star this week that they are waiting for the Coventry situation to clarify before confirming their 1-7 as there may be other riders that would fit their team building options. Belle Vue is all about Manchester Council approving the final promotion - presumably with the BSPA's support?! Reading between the lines of the GP statement, his proposal didn't get BSPA approval - presumably because it included a past promoter that had his promoting licence revoked by the BSPA ie Chris Morton.
  22. To be fair Steve, they have already said exactly that in their 'Festive Greeting' message on their website - as Neil Watson subsequently repeated on here. There has also been an official tweet on Wednesday 11th Jan to say that there should be more news early next week!!
  23. Interesting 2 page interview/article in this week's Speedway Star with Poland's Wojciech Stepniewski all about the new Polish rules!! The interview is by Paul Burbidge so I guess the gist of it will also appear on the SGP website soon.
  24. Well their version of the 'facts' to give their position a bit of a media spin!! I can't see any reason for Horton or any other promoter in a similar position, to sign the new lease because he doesn't know what he'll be leasing until Brandon, Sandhu and the Police have sorted out the ownership (and damage caused by removal) of the fixtures and fittings! If the BSPA are 'forcing' the issue due to fixture planning etc - even if they've extended the time limit for the Bees to declare - then if true its no surprise that riders are looking elsewhere.
  25. The article acknowledges DH's efforts in resurrecting the sport but also blames him for Leicester's slide in the past 3 years or so - by refusing to listen to fans!!
