  1. Well its now February so Gordon Pairman should be back in the country now (or soon)!! ;-)
  2. The danger with any temporary replacement from the start of the season is what will happen after the first set of revised averages?! If, say Milik on 7.94 does reasonably well but still drops below Brady's 7.65 with the first new averages then it would be difficult to bring Brady back in wouldn't it?!
  3. In the Star this week, MF names the likes of Kasper Gomolski, Vaclav Milik and Justin Sedgman as 'possibles' - if he had to make a decision today?!
  4. On the Coventry website Baz - as this is a Coventry thread!! Only involving Kings Lynn and Somerset so far
  5. MF quoted today that several riders have offered their services to cover for Brady - if needed?!
  6. I see some of the fixtures changes have begun to be announced!!
  7. Wow a thread that mentions Poole and Gavan's straight in like a rat up a drainpipe!!!! Surprise surprise. Poole, Wolves, Rye House and Kings Lynn in the play offs. Poole and Wolves to reach the final. (subject to injuries!)
  8. Not sure that any doubts over Sky coverage was much to do with number of teams (although it would have given them a good excuse) - its much more about trying to 'balance their books' after the footie deals and looking at minor sports coverage that doesn't attract decent audiences or major advertising, yet carries disproportionate costs!!
  9. With Brady now released from hospital and back at home, he is still in pain and will be seeing a specialist physiotherapist asap. A Poole fan on facebook has suggested that Milik is on standby?! Make of that what you will.............!! ;-)
  10. I'm sure in the past there have been instances where riders have only signed 'short-term' contracts - either until their foreign fixtures all kick in or to cover for an injury to another rider?! ;-)
  11. I always try to forget BT at every opportunity!!! :-)
  12. The initial hospital doctors wanted to observe him and monitor his pain for 'a few days'!!
  13. Presumably if all this renewed harmony also means that Stox will be running at Brandon, then I guess the fixtures and fittings will all be back in situ asap!! I predict the Bees will be back on track at Brandon by May - 2017 latest!
  14. Has that been confirmed from the 2nd opinion? I haven't seen it reported anywhere!
  15. I guess you'll be on duty at the Kings Lynn pits when he turns up to support Chris Holder then??
  16. Great news for most Coventry speedway fans. Credit where its due to all those involved in the negotiations.
  17. Leicester will have to move smartly for Sedgman, as he could be a ready made replacement at Poole for Brady Kurtz if his injuries from yesterday are worse than initially feared?! Interestingly the 'No Sky' rumour was doing the rounds at Poole's fans quiz night back in December!!!
  18. Echo are reporting badly bruised hip and some muscle damage but no breaks!! Brady feels that there is something else wrong because of the pain he is in. He remained in hospital overnight and is hopeful of seeking a 2nd opinion to confirm no small fractures. He has withdrawn from the Darcy Ward #43 meeting scheduled for this coming weekend
  19. Sky and all the Discovery portfolio of channels are parting company from Weds 1st February. - This includes the Eurosport channels which will still be available via Virgin Media and Eurosport Player!!
  20. A new Robins Commercial team in place from today I see!! :-)
  21. As anticipated Torun are having issues with their signing of Jack Holder, who has NOT obtained written confirmation from his other clubs of his availability for any rained off Polish Extraleague meetings!! (Speedway Star - 26/01/2017). This means he will not appear for Torun at least until their transfer window in May. He may be loaned out to a 1st or 2nd tier team?!
  22. Do you not use any streams in Portugal, BWitcher? ;-)
  23. Anyway back to Poole 2017. Theres a nice article about Kyle and James in the local Echo today - back page photo too!! I've seen it having actually bought the paper - rather than reading it for free online this time. Journalists have to be paid for their work after all!!! ;-)
