  1. One would think that a sport that 'goes left' so many times in every meeting, would suit the BBC down to the ground!!! ;-)
  2. I know that (as i was asked if I wanted to sponsor it!!) but MF asked me not to say anything until it was officially announced. 'AJ is King' had asked previously if there was likely to be a meeting that date when he was around Poole on holiday!!
  3. British U21 Final confirmed for Weds 26th April at Poole.
  4. Wasn't it described as very similar to Cardiff??!
  5. So the noise level of any commentary - or music for that matter - would need to be greater than the noise generated by the bikes. That would surely go down well with any track 'neighbours'?! Can't those fans in the stadium actually see what is happening? Commentators can often get it wrong despite them watching exactly the same action as the fans - you only have to watch some of the recordings - dvds etc!!
  6. Theres nothing like penalising fans from seeing top riders then!!? ;-)
  7. First one I've missed for ages but had to give Kyle, Keith, Nick, Starman et al a chance!!
  8. Not sure which 'new' sponsors you refer to? They've all been on the list for a while. Expect to see a 'main' sponsor announced at some point!
  9. I thought the new owners were already released on the Companies House website!!
  10. Last week's Speedway Star carried an article that he couldn't carry on forever (he and Mike Golding only thought they'd be doing 5 years or so when they took over in '99) and was starting to 'wind down'. No timescale given and not picked up by the local media either - which I find a little surprising!!
  11. New main sponsors at least - more than certain other clubs have got at the moment!!! :-)
  12. We're all going to get a new poster - which will probably mean little to the audience it will try to attract!!!!
  13. Is that true? If so when was the new rule introduced?
  14. March 29th Poole v Wolves Elite Shield 2nd leg so despite what the Panthers press release says about Holder v Holder I can't see that happening for a 'friendly' that has only just been announced?!
  15. Happy Birthday to Aces Team Manager Mark Lemon. Hope he enjoys Geneva!!!!!!!
  16. Bridger moved to Manchester due to his personal circumstances.
  17. I'm on a secret mission to increase the Star's readership!! The story doesn't appear to have made it to their online version 'Speedway Extra'. The headline is 'Winding down......'!!
  18. Very surprised there have been no comments abouth the MF article in this week's Speedy Star?! Should be good for a few more pages. ;-)
  19. So a top 3 of Cook, Fricke and Sedgman then??! ;-)
  20. Same questions but undoubtedly differing reasons behind the answers!!
  21. All teams have firstly to be announced by their club and then submitted to and approved by the BSPA before they appear as the official line-ups. - with rider averages. Its the same every year not just with the changes for 2017.
  22. Neither of the above. When the possibility cropped up a month or so ago when the draft fixtures came out to clubs, it was being offered to potential sponsors. I don't know if one has been secured and therefore whether it will go ahead at Poole?!
  23. So is George Carswell still involved as the 'official' promoter or was he part of one of the 'unapproved' consortia?
  24. I would imagine the BSPA know exactly what is going on. They know the management structure and promoter - BUT cannot reveal anything publicly until Manchester Council's legal boys have carried out all their required checks and agreed various issues within the new agreement!! Riders - especially those that have been spoken to - have been instructed not to say anything or give any hints until the Council approval has been received hopefully within the next few days.
